Whether if it's at age 74 or 78, will Trump socialize with the other former Presidents like how the Bushes, Clinton, and Obama do and how Carter and Ford did? Will he just keep to himself? Will they put up with but not like him? Something else? Discuss.

Also, no cheap "he won't be able to from jail" cracks. Serious theories only.

Probably keep to himself. I don’t think he wants to share the spotlight

I do get the sense that he plans on just going back to Trump Tower and working until he dies like his dad once he's done with being President. He's probably even eager to do so. He may not even mention it often once he's done aside from the work on and opening of his library.

He might go the way of James Polk and not even be alive much longer after 2020 or 2024.

No, I don’t see him doing million dollar speeches to Goldman Sachs either.

No.  They won't want anything do with him, and he won't want anything to do with them.

Oh, I suspect he will up to a point. But I expect that he would be shunned, when it comes to events where former presidents are asked questions or chat about their experiences. Who in their right mind as a former President would want to share the stage with Trump? The downside of doing that, would swamp any upside potential of his being there.

No, of course not. And it will be a mutual decision.

And that's not even considering the possibility that he ends up in prison.

Like the rest of America, he'll probably be trying to forget he was ever president.

His supporters will remain loyal and his adversaries will remain adversarial.

He will be physically unable to. My serious expectation is that he will spend most of his post-White House life in a cage.

Trying to forget him will be like trying to forget W.

Getting elected was a huge boost to his ego and he'll want to remember his Presidency as the huge success story that he believes it is.

Oddly enough, I think the only ex-president who will try to be civil with him at those events might be Obama.

I'm assuming Jimmy Carter won't live to see Trump's post-presidency, but I hope I'm wrong.

No.  They won't want anything do with him, and he won't want anything to do with them.

This.
Except that he would like to part of "the club," but because the others detest him, and he knows this, he will "act" like he wants nothing to do with them (this is the narcissist in him).
So, for the balance of his miserable and "lonely" life, he will live in a pretend-world where he thinks he was the best thing to America since the invention of sliced bread.

I don't see any of the former Presidents visiting Trump while he's in jail.

This thread just reminds me how anti-intellectual and feeble minded Trump is. What reputable organization or university would invite him to speak about anything important? God, Americans are stupid.

Anyway, I hope Obama and Clinton ignore his existence. The man is trash.

Of all the living ex Presidents, Obama has the least reason to be civil with him. Clinton (due to past Friendship), Bush (he'll most likely be the only other living Republican President by 2021 or 2025), or any of Trump's successors (assuming he has a long enough post Presidency) would be more likely to be civil with him at those events.

It depends on whether he loses re-election or not. Ff he loses he will pout on Twitter but otherwise keep to himself and very rarely correspond with the other Presidents, especially if his opponent who defeated him is present. If he wins he will probably want to be part of it but will be not be particularly welcomed by his predecessors. The "club" would become justifiably cliquey.
