All about animals!

3-1 increases the minimum living crate sizes for pigs and cows.

3-2 increases the minimum living crate size for egg-laying chickens.

3-3 and 3-4 eliminate pointless labeling requirements on certain types of meat.

3-5 eliminates a budget rider that blocks funding for inspecting horse meat factories which makes it de facto illegal here. The horses just get shipped to Canada and Mexico and are slaughtered there less humanely.

3-6 eliminates another dumb labeling requirement on a certain type of meat.

3-7 eliminates a regulation on brewers who sell or donate spent grain from the brewing process as animal feed.

4-1 limits the ESA exemption for windmills

4-2 - 4-4 delist certain species who dont need to be on the list.

4-5 limits an abusive practice by which interest groups request that a certain species be listed over and over again to stop development even though there is no actual likelihood of that species warranting listing.

5-1 defunds animal pain experiments for cats and dogs.

5-2 exempts smaller animal performers from federal regulation.

5-3 removes federal regulation of animal fencing height.

5-4 eliminates a pointless report.

5-5 reduces federal regulation of local animal fights which are already illegal in the locality.

5-6 allows more therapy animals into federal buildings. The current rule is only dogs.

I think that the clause stating:

Should be amended to reflect therapy animals. By law, they are not service animals, as they do not perform tasks to assist a disabled person. The wording as is implies the wrong type of assistance animal, and conflicts with the ADA, which specifically limits it to dogs and miniature horses.

I haven't had a chance to look at all of them, but the service animal bit was my biggest issue, as amended below if anyone is interested in sponsoring the amendment.

Having no objections, we shall now proceed to a final vote on this bill lasting 72 hours or 24 hours after the bill has enough votes to pass or fail, whichever is sooner.
