Birth year ranges via the Pew Research Center. Note that this isn't question of how you feel about the perceptions of your generation, just which one you chronologically fit into.

EDIT: The millennial category should start in 1981, not 1980. People born in 1980 should choose Generation X.

1996, so I'm right in between, but Millaniels.

I wish Bob Dole had won the election the year I was born. Clinton didn't deserve a second term after what he let happen in Rwanda.

Gen Y/Millennial (born in 1993).

Baby boomers began in 1946, and I'd extend Gen Y to 1999.  (I prefer Gen Y over Millennial since we were all born before 2000, and it's more consistent with Gen X and Gen Z.  If you're going to call Gen Y Millennials, then Gen Z should be Post-Millennials).  I know some people would extend Gen X back to the early 60s, although I don't personally follow that.  My mother was born in 1962 and I would consider her a late-end Baby Boomer.

IMO, it should be this:

Baby Boomers 1946-1964
Generation X 1965-1979
Generation Y/Millennials 1980-1999
Generation Z/Post-Millennials 2000-present

Yeah well, if we are going to exit, might as well take down as many of the rest as possible. Hey, Dead0, you are not going to get a rise of me bashing Boomers. Hudson yes, Boomers no! Tongue

Wait...what?  People born in the 2000s are Gen Z, not Gen X.  Xers were born in the 60s and 70s.

tell us more about how you're special and different because you aren't like (or don't believe you're like) the stereotypes associated with your peers.

I'm one of those early Millennials, though I honestly feel at least a part of me identifies with Generation X.
