Ernst will overperform Trump by between 3-5% I think. Possibly more if dems don't have a good candidate.

Yes, and while I don’t consider her unbeatable, it’s pretty clear that Gardner, Tillis and Daines are all more vulnerable than her. Maybe Perdue and Sullivan as well.

Yes. She's openly criticized Trump on a number of issues (disagrees with his ban on trans people in the military, for one) and can distance herself enough from him that she'll win. Plus, she's really likeable. Also, Iowa wasn't a pro-Trump state; it was an anti-Clinton state. I feel like anybody besides Clinton would have won Iowa.
