Not a shocker. A lot of predictions for November have Blum going down.

The best part of 2018 is going to be watching so many GOP donors go borderline bankrupt trying to prop up clown like candidates

The margin in this race will definitely be interesting. If Blum loses by a lot, that's definitely a sign that the trends in the Midwest in 2016 at least aren't guaranteed to be permanent. If it's close or he actually holds on in a bad year for Republicans, Iowa really might be the next Missouri.

Where they should be piling money right now is in Arizona's 8th congressional district for Debbie Lesko where the special election of April 24 is approaching and where the battle seems to be close with Lesko and Tipirneni are tied in the polls.

I'm pretty sure the Lesko + 10 poll is more accurate.

If repubs lose AZ-08, they should just give up in 2018. 49% of the electorate is old republicans

I wonder if that was Paul Ryan's true motive for the tax scam.

While it is unquestionably a part of his Ayn Rand worshipping ideological DNA, that additional motive is unquestionably a part of it. Or at least it had to do with the timing. As I think I pointed out in another thread, you all may recall that big money Republican donors made it clear if they didn't get action on tax reform they were going to leave their checkbooks closed for the midterms.

They got their pay off with the tax bill, so they're minions in the Republican Congressional caucus get their cut.

Koch money might actually make the situation worse. The Democrat needs to highlight that in their campaign.
