Problem because I think Regions should have the free ability to select Senators how they see fit, including merging such with their executive.

Why should Congress be the body that decides when it is appropriate for someone to hold more than one office, as opposed to the voters?

Personally, I oppose tabling this. Doof, not sure if you realized, but this only barely changes the actual rules, but gives Congress the power to suspend the rules that do exist; I'd argue that's actually a loosening of the rule.
