Yeah, I misread the amendment. With that said, I will restart the 24 hour period to object since there was confusion here.

Anyways I am opposed to this regardless and would be fine with moving to a final vote whenever

Heading in that direction myself.

I am fine with this portion.

Fairly certain this is unnecessary, but I guess having it clarified helps.

Problem because I think Regions should have the free ability to select Senators how they see fit, including merging such with their executive.

Present text, obviously support

This part seems reasonable.

I am going to refrain from objecting so 1) We can get some movement and 2) have an explanation in the underlying text.

Maybe change it to "None who is a Representative shall also be a Senator, regional chief executive, or member of a regional legislator, nor shall a holder of any of the latter three offices hold either of the other two, unless explicit authorization is given by the constitution of the respective region." ?

Could you offer that as an amendment?

I don't understand how some of you were making such a huge fuss about the Privateering Amendment restricting us in the future but you don't think that this could restrict gameplay enormously in certain emergencies and very low activity times.

It can be suspended by Congress under the current version of the bill.

Why should Congress be the body that decides when it is appropriate for someone to hold more than one office, as opposed to the voters?

You need a second...

Personally, I oppose tabling this. Doof, not sure if you realized, but this only barely changes the actual rules, but gives Congress the power to suspend the rules that do exist; I'd argue that's actually a loosening of the rule.

and Truman's point is the main point here, not our responsibility.

A vote is now open on the motion to table. Representatives have 48 hours to vote aye, nay, or abstain.

Abstain. I still haven't seen convincing arguments for this, but I not sure if tabling is the best decision.

Is it a 2/3 majority of the chamber to table or a 2/3 majority of those voting?

Those voting, so this motion could still pass if the two remaining non-voting Representatives showed up and voted aye.
