If you were given the chance to redraw the congressional district you live in, how would you change it?
I live in MA-08, and here's how I would draw it:
I rid the district of its urban elements (Brockton, Quincy, parts of Boston) and replaced them with additional suburban areas. Most of the area is predominantly Irish-descended (especially the South Shore), except for a few Portuguese towns in the south (Berkley, Freetown, Acushnet, Rochester). Only one municipality, Taunton, is split. Having a swing district here makes sense since the towns as a whole tend to vote both ways, almost certainly voting for Romney but probably flipping to Clinton; the best fit for this district would probably be a Rockefeller Republican (Baker probably won over 60% in this district).
