Assuming the 2 terms amendment doesn't pass and Eisenhower runs for a 3rd term how would Kennedy do

I think Ike wins, but much more narrowly. Maybe 52-47 in the popular vote, and 340 electoral college votes.

Ike was popular personally but there was a sense that his presidency was mediocre and dull. Not bad but nothing that really enhanced the countries position. Meanwhile JFK was an exceptional campaigner that breathed optimism. Razor thin popular vote, Ike might even win it. But JFK wins electoral vote. In all honesty though it could go either way. I’m giving edge to Kennedy due to party fatigue and the charismatic ability of JFK

Kennedy 275
Ike 262

Ike cruises to a 1988-style win, he was about as popular as Bill Clinton in 2000.

Ike is still popular enough to win a third term. I left NY and TX in the Dem column, but both would be very close and could easily flip to GOP as well.

✓ President Dwight D. Eisenhower (R-NY)/Vice President Richard Nixon (R-CA): 305 EVs.; 51.1%
Senator John F. Kennedy (D-MA)/Senator Lyndon B. Johnson (D-TX): 224 EVs.; 47.0%
