Reagan probably drops out and endorses Jesus. Heck, McGovern might Tongue.

EDIT: That is, of course, you mean Jesus Christ. Jesus Bgwah would win 4th place PV (behind some Libertarian), and no EVs.

Reagan comes in third after Jesus swamps every state and McGovern still manages to take DC:

Meanwhile, Mondale wonders why he was left out of this hypothetical situation.

I doubt Jesus would win an election.  He told a lot of people a lot of things they didn't want to hear.

Bump, just thought I'd bump this to see current day opinions. Also, I love the not-fake Blago '06 signature.

Jesus a communist?  Jesus would be a staunch economic conservative because he would advocate personal responsiblity and charity over handouts.  Jesus would most certainly frown upon the welfare state and government programs

Jesus would be an anarchist in modern day politics, he certainly would have frowned upon the government telling everyone what they can and cannot do. That's supposed to be God's job. We are honored members of his family. Grin

I take it you haven't read the Bible? (that or you're a believer in some strange form of Liberation Theology?)

Doesn't matter what he would believe now (and I disagree with you that he'd be a staunch economic conservative), but his comments about the poor and the rich, about peace and war in the bible would easily be construed as hippy liberal pinko garbage if anyone but the Son of God had said them.

Whatever the supreme being is, gave us free will, throughly capitalist in thought. Socialism is collectivism. I think Jesus would be a free thinking, free living hippie. God wants you to be a libertarian.

LOL at people thinking this Jesus figure would've been libertarian.

"Render unto Caesar what is Caesars."

Clearly a statist sentiment.

Jesus never went into government intrusion into the economy, domestic policies, or anything like that. He dealt with personal issues, so we can't say where he would fall on the spectrum. I think he would be a Democrat, but that's just me.

What if Jesus was Black?

Ronal Reagan and George McGovern drop out to endorse Black Jesus, Jesse Helms runs against Black Jesus. Black Jesus Wins.
