Nixon wins decisively. I'm not sure anyone, with the possible exception of LBJ, would have beaten Nixon one on one that year.

This. Add RFK to the list. He and Johnson may have beaten Nixon, McCarthy would have done worse than Humphrey by losing TX and possibly PA. Same ME would have been lost also, except for Muskie being the VP nominee. PV swings two or three points to Nixon in a three-way contest.
