Why didn’t Jeb run this year for the Florida Senate seat? Is it because he knew Scott would decide to run? I think he hates Trump so I don’t think he’s to worried about getting his support since he’d run as someone more moderate anyway. Surely he would have a good shot of winning the primary and have a decent shot in the general(?) since he was Governor there for 8 years (all while they voted Republican in the Presidential) or did he not think he has a shot of beating Bill Nelson? I don’t think Jeb would have a chance of beating him, but he might think he does.

Not after how terribly his presidential campaign went and he's been out of office for 12 years now.

Jeb! Would be a horrible candidate. The GOP base wouldn't turn out for him even in his homestate.

Why not? Jeb still has time to declare a senate bid since the candidate filing deadline in Florida is somewhere in May and he surely has a better chance to win a senate race than Scott has due to Bush's strong showing among Hispanics, the moreover that unlike Scott he even won the Miami-Dade county in his gubernatorial runs in 1998 and 2002.

The republican base hates Jeb Bush now because of his positions on immigration (the most important issue for Republicans in today's society as shown by Trump's easy victory in the primaries + Bruce Rauner almost being primaried by a nobody).

How dare you insinuate Nelson would win? Jeb! would win with 100% of the vote, and would instantly be elected Majority Leader and Speaker of the House.

Seriously though, he'd lose bigly. Worse than Scott would, since he couldn't win: Scott has a chance. Wouldn't bet on it though, since I think Nelson will win.

God-Emperor Jeb! would immediately make the race safe R.

But he would legit be a trash candidate and most likely wouldn't even win the GOP primary.

If Rubio couldn't wimake the primary against Trump there's no chance in hell Jeb has a shot.

TBH, if he'd tried this in 2012, he might've knocked off Nelson.
