DCCC finally put Kara Eastman on the Red to Blue list:

OMFG, finnaly!

.....but this does prove that the DCCC was not supporting her for petty reasons...

How so?  It could easily mean she is a very weak candidate whom they think might get swept in by the wave.

How so?  It could easily mean she is a very weak candidate whom they think might get swept in by the wave.
So she suddenly has become a strong candidate worthy of support with no new fundraising numbers, polling, or a now scandal plagued opponent. Nothing has changed. And its not like this is out of the ordinary, as Balter and her were the only ones to win against the DCCC, and its taken months for either to be endorsed. And Balter's opponent was not at all strong.

And this isnt the height of the Blue wave, which was a couple weeks ago, polling has shown it decrease, why now?

It could be a good internal not released or a bigger cash haul than expected for the national dems, allowing them space to get in the race.

Possible, but after some thinking, unlikely. The DCCC has endorsed many long shot candidates, such as the one in IN, and the map has been expanded to around 60 seats. The only poll we have of the race is from after the primary from the Republican Party, and it gave Eastman a deficit of around 6-8 points(cant find the poll). Unless the mostly safe IN seats are closer than 6 points, I dont really buy it. And, again, it was not just Eastman, Balter got the same treatment, and polling showed Balter was stronger, yet they endorsed his opponent, and didnt endorse him after winning. It speaks to me of pettiness, not strategy.

Looks like the Kochs have finally met their match.

Also, this is a very good thing. By getting more Democrats dependent on donations from voters, rather than interests and PACs, the party should become less corrupt and independent of money.

I was unaware that the ultimate goal of Democrats was to buy Apple.

An in perfect timing to the ActBlue story the RNC has sent out a memo telling candidates to not accept Koch money or help https://www.politico.com/story/2018/08/02/rnc-warns-donors-kochs-760233

Wow, first it was the candidates, now the entire party is committing Seppuku. This is great.

If the Kochs want to actually help the Democrats, all they really have to do is not spend any money for Republicans. The Democratic Party doesn't need their money and may very well have the same positive effect as if they did.

Would it hurt them to move PA-17 to Likely D at least? Also, I recommend that they definitely review their rating of NY-24 comsidering this was likely done before that poll.

Believe it or not, PA-17 on this news site was mistakenly listed as Lean R for a while - Cook rates it Lean D.

The fact that the NRCC has already spent $6.4 million on Comstock should be profoundly embarrassing.
