Rauner is an awful governor. He should have invested more of his money into the state instead of spending $70 million on ads. He seems completely out of touch with his state. His only attack vs Ives was "madigan madigan madigan". Whenever people criticize him, all he can say is "madigan!" and "I'm not in charge!". Total pansy. No wonder he has a 26% favorable rating according to PPP (the same PPP poll had Trump at 37% favorable - much higher than the average for Illinois).

He's really just a completely terrible governor. He's socially moderate, sure, but completely incompetent at governing. He's managed to piss off everyone.

I would probably vote for a third party if I was registered in Illinois. Lots of poor people must be looking at this primary in disgust -- the $150 million spent on this primary could have saved thousands of lives.

I could actually see JellyBelly beating Ruiner only to get beaten in 2022. I don't know if Kinzinger will be the candidate to beat Pritzker, but I could still see JellyBelly being a one term Governor, especially if 2022 is a Republican year due to a Trump loss in 2020.
