We all know he’ll do it. We all know he’ll win again. How will he spin it this time, though? Will he once again run as the Prime Minister, while putting his puppet in as President and simultaneously moving the powers back to the Prime Minister? Will he get rid of term limits? Create a new position?

Right NOW the first variant (already tested) is the most likely. But 6 years is considerble time, so - no one can predict for sure.

This guy who is a foreign policy expert who focuses on Russia said there were rumors that Putin might just call it quits at the end of his term but that if he did it could leave the country in an unstable position. Chances are he won’t, and Russians probably wouldn’t care.

You are, probably, correct on both points. Most Russians have much more pressing economic problems on their hands.

PM Putin again for 6 years. He’d probably run in 2030 but he’d be like 77. He’s in shape and exercises though so he might. I doubt he’d wanna do 2 terms until he’s 90 though

Or they'll shorten the presidential term back to four years then, so that he doesn't have to wait so long.

However, I think the constitution will be amended so that he can run for an unlimited number of terms.
