Jesse Jackson and Pat Robertson win their respective party primaries.

To unify the parties, Jackson selects John Glenn and Robertson selects Pete Domenici as running mates.

Rhode Island Senator John Chafee, unhappy with Robertson's very conservative positions, makes an independent bid.
