I think it would be

Governor John Bel Edwards (D-LA) - Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA): PV: 49.2%, EV: 322
President Donald J. Trump (R-NY) - Vice President Mike Pence (R-IN): PV: 45.1%, EV: 216

If Edwards is winning Utah, he's definitely winning MIWIPA and likely a bunch of other states, too.

Yeah, especially if he wins Louisiana and Montana. If he wins these three states, he also wins Iowa and Ohio.
I don't see a Dem winning LA anytime soon, so I'd flip it in your map as well as, more than likely, Montana and Utah. Also definitely flip Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and most likely Ohio and Iowa as well.

Edwards is from LA and popular there. I see him winning his homestate. He's conservative enough to win GA, NC and UT (this maybe with 37% and McMullin in the way of Trump). Yet, I think he wouldn't have the support of Rust Belt working class, that Trump could keep.

Many of his policy positions would resonate with Rust Belt whites.

I would say this map + Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennselvanyia, Iowa, and Ohio.

Assuming this is in 2020, not just in isolation.

Edwards/Bullock v. Trump/Pence v. McMullin/Finn (weaker)

Same as above with stronger McMullin

Very reasonable map, but I think a good 'ol boy like Edwards would at least hit 40% in Alabama and maaaaaaaaybe Oklahoma.

I don't see Louisiana flipping at all but Edwards could very easily win.

Why do all these maps assume there's a right-wing third party in the mix?

His approvals in LA would drop, an he likely loses re-election in his home state as he tries to run for Governor and President at the same time. Add to this his pro-life, pro-gun stances, and you have a very weak Democratic candidate, assuming he can even clear a Democratic Primary. He still probably wins on Trump's unpopularity, but against a stronger republican he's a bad candidate.

This, but make Utah only R>50% because Mormons still aren't too fond of Trump and Edwards is pretty socially conservative for a Dem.
