Florida gun control activist David Hogg (D-Broward) wins the Florida Democratic Senate primary and faces Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in November 2022.

Rubio runs for reelection while keeping an eye on a potential 2024 presidential bid, but President Trump has a 30% approval rating.

Hogg vs. Rubio. Who wins?

Rubio only wins because only Political junkies would have heard of David Hogg. A stronger candidate (Gwen Graham, Ted Deutch, Darren Soto or Stephanie Murphy would win this race, possibly by a convincing margin).

Marco Rubio (R) 50.45%
David Hogg (D) 48.55%
Write-in/Other 1%

Rubio would win.  Hogg would be seen as too extreme.

Rubio would win.  Hogg would be seen as too extreme.

And also Hogg has no political experience while Rubio will surely argue that he kept his pledge to serve his full six-year term.

Agreed. Hogg's anti-gun spewing would rally the Left leaning citizens of Florida but would dissuade Republicans and Conservatives alike. I think Rubio would win with 58.7% to Hogg's 40.3% and 1% write ins.

Davy Noodlearms would only win Broward, Gadsden, León, and maybe Orange and Osceola but Rubio cleans up the rest of the state

Uh, what? He's become a semi-household name and has 600k twitter followers.

Still, I agree Rubio would win.

Who wins Miami-Dade County, Fla.?

Hogg or Rubio?

Miami-Dade is next to Broward, Hogg should do well there.

Would Cuban-Americans vote for Hogg in FL?

Cuban-Americans are strongly conservative on social issues so they will massively vote for Rubio.

Rubio, definitely. I couldn't endorse Hogg and, in all honesty, Hogg's egotistical and sociopathic nature would catch up to him and make him repugnant to all but a select few.

I think Rubio would defeat Hogg by 10 points actually. Hogg may come across as too egotistical and smug for some Floridians.

Sen. Marco Rubio (Inc.) 55%
Activist David Hogg 45%
