Yeah, I don't see Manafort getting a hung jury here. There is 18 freaking charges here and some of the evidence is damning.

And there was no Chewbacca defense... so...

The only "strong" argument the defense has made is that Gates is a scumbag......which we already knew.

Does the jury get back to work tomorrow or will we have to wait until Monday for a final verdict?

Not unless more details come from this, I think.  This is fairly significant:

McGahn has proven to be relatively competent, overseeing regulation-cutting and the push for judicial nominees. If the crux of the article is correct, and he’s cooperating to prevent Trump foisting blame for obstruction onto him, this could be big. He’s doing this out of self-preservation, and hasn’t been pressured by Trump because the president assumes he’s on his side. If he can provide insight into Trump’s motivations, this could be the ballgame on obstruction.

Wasn't McGahn there when they were planning their response to Donald Jr. reported meeting with Russians in 2016?

McGahn is (in conservative circles) a respected lawyer who certainly doesn’t want to be Trump’s pasty.

I hope these jurors practice some self-sequestration this weekend since Trump is blabbing on about how great Manafort is.

Jurors are people too and they have a lot of evidence to review. They can and should take as long as they need on each charged count

Yeah, especially in financial cases where a lot rests on pretty technical details, I don't see why anyone would expect a short jury deliberation.

I think it's likely that Manafort gets convicted...but the jury does hang on several counts, or maybe even acquits on one of the more technical and confusing counts.

Manafort going down on, like, 14 or 15 counts rather than 18 would be totally consistent with the jury's questions and such.

Papadopoulos is clearly just a huge Ke$ha fan who wakes up in the morning feelin' like P Diddy.

This would be one of the less surprising twists in the story

You guys and your rational thinking. Now I feel bad for calling the Jury "lame ass".

And quite frankly, I have no reason to even be invested in the outcome of this trial. My obsession with every political news story and how it will effect November has become quite unhealthy. But thats for another thread entirely.

How is Giuliani still Trump's lawyer? Could it be that Trump actually believes this is superior, next-level lawyer'ing? Because it would totally be a Trump thing to do to push out competent lawyers and bring on a total trainwreck of a lawyer, and then nod approvingly as he basically implodes the entire defense.
