Well I'm completely backing Swann for Governor. I think he's the Republican's best shot at getting rid of Rendell and that's the reason I'm supporting him even though I do not know many of his positions.

Plus he'd get such a high percentage of the vote in Western PA it would be crazy. C'mon who would vote against a former Steeler in Western PA. Wink

Awesome! I think our whole PA delegation on the forum is unified behind Swann! Well...actually...I'm still wondering about J.J.
I'm not, but if you're talking about Republicans, JJ seems like a Scranton type of guy, and Darth Kosh seems like a Piccola man. Tongue

J.J. does seem like a Scranton type but he is more conservative.

(I am speaking of Republicans, by the way.)

Yeah, J.J. seems exactly like the guys who nearly gave him the election 15 years ago.

Exactly. Pro-family usually means anti gay rights, abortion rights and single people.

You have a problem with a baby's right to live, a problem with families, and a problem with marriage as between a man and a woman?

Of course I support a baby's right to live. I have no problem with families, but parents need to take care of their own kids rather then getting the government to do it for them through censorship and other nonsense. And yea, I do support gay marriage.

According to his website, he seems further to the right then Ridge.

Thank goodness!

What a change from "Bugsy" Rendell he would be.

So basically, unlike Ridge, he won't mind lowering the terror alert level so that he can raise it again?

How is he a crook?
NY and CA will be getting Democratic governors next year.
As for Blanco, she's definitely not my favorite governor, but it does seem like she's just a convient deflection of blame for the Republicans. The Republicans got busted lying about when she declared a state of emergency. The Washington Post got CBSed while lying for the right-wing. Yes, the Washington Post.

"Bugsy"'s Philly mob connections are well known.  "Bugsy" is a teflon politician though.
