September 2015 Kander Campaign Schedule

September 1-4: After Kander announced his Campaign in Missouri, he traveled North to Iowa where he  traveled around Davenport and Cedar Rapids to meet with voters.

September 5: Kander Campaigns with MO-5 Representative Emanuel Cleaver II in Davenport. He hopes Cleaver can appeal to Davenport's fast growing black population.

He has worked with republicans in the state house to pass ethics reform and campaign finance reform. He has fought Voter-ID Laws which unfairly discriminate against minorities. He is a veteran who served in Afghanistan for 8 years. I can not think of someone more qualified and dedicated to this country than Jason Kander."

September 6: Fly to L.A. and debate prep

September 7: Participate in the debate

September 8-12: Kander meets leaders in Iowa and with more voters.

September 13: Kander does a Rally in Sioux City with Missouri Governor Jay Nixon, a conservative Democrat. Kander hopes Jay will help Kander with Conservative Democrats and give him a shot at winning conservative Sioux City.

September 14-16: Kander flew back to Missouri for sos duties and debate prep.

September 17: Kander flew to New Hampshire and host town hall in Manchester.

September 17-20: Met Voters in Merrimack and Rockingham county.

September 21: Rally in Nashua about the Opioid Epidemic. He specified the need for Opioid Funding and how it is a bipartisan issue.  

September 22-25: Kander traveled up to Grafton and Coos county and Hosted several Town Halls.

September 26-30: Kander flew back to Missouri for rest on Debate Prep.

I believe many of Bernie's voters were not socialists, but disappointed with the Breseden presidency which did not pass enough progressive legislation to make them happy. Sanders only won 10 states even with the disappointment from the left, so I would not see his performance is something to worry about. However, I believe I am the best candidate up here to unite the party. I am neither a blue dog or a socialist, so I could appeal to both sides of our party without alienating the other side.

I was against the Iraq War since the beginning, but I can understand why Bresden kept troops in Iraq. Bush did a terrible job in Iraq, and Bresden has made it much better. I believe Iraq is stabilized enough that we can gradually withdraw our troops while we defeat the last remains of the Neo-Ummyads. We cannot simply not afford to continue keeping our current presence in Iraq.

I don't think Turkey will become the next Syria, especially under a Kander Presidency. While Assad was already hostile to the U.S., Turkey has been an ally of the U.S. for decades. We could easily get Turkey on the negotiating table, considering the U.S. and other NATO members make up more than half of Turkey's trade. We can't make Turkey into another Iraq either. I think that Russian interference is unlikely and if it happens I would temporarily put troops in Turkey just like Bresden did successfully in Ukraine.

I'm sure many of us were following the 2008 primary when a little known governor of Tennessee entered the race in a distant third. His name was Phil Bredesen. Now look where we are, Bredesen won two of the biggest landslides in history and is a household name. Same can be said for Bill Clinton and many others. On September 11, 2001, our country was attacked by al-Qaeda. That's why I decided to join the army and serve in Afghanistan. I served for 8 years keeping this country safe. When I returned, I ran and was elected for State House in Missouri. At that time, Republicans had a supermajority in the State House, but I worked with them to pass Ethics Reform and Campaign Finance Reform. After that, I ran for Secretary of State of Missouri. I faced an uphill battle, my opponent was the president pro tempore of the Missouri Senate. But we won. And I didn't win by trying to be a moderate republican or hugging the middle. Even though Voter-ID Laws were overwhelmingly popular in my state, I was the only candidate that year who ran an ad opposing voter-ID laws in a competitive state. I stood for my values, and thats why so many Missourians liked me. In just 2 Years as Secretary of State, I took Missouri from 13th to 8th in Election Performance. Now, I hope I can earn your vote to bring the values I championed in Missouri to the Presidency.

October 3-7: Kander hosted campaign events across Clark and Southern Nye County

October 8: Kander hosted a rally in Reno, where he talks about foreign policy.

October 9: Kander Flew to Des Moines, Iowa.

October 10: Kander hosted a Rally in Des Moines with Iowa AFL-CIO leaders where he highlighted his fair trade policies and opposition to right to work laws.

October 11-15: Kander barnstormed around Southern Iowa.

October 16-18: Kander returned to Missouri where he got rest, debate prep, as well as speaking on MSNBC and CNN.

October 19: Kander flew to PA to participate in the Debate.

October 20-22: Kander met voters in Pittsburgh and Erie.

October 20: Kander hosted an online Town Hall streamed on youtube and sponsored by votevets.org, who has also endorsed him. He highlighted the need to strengthen the VA and reacted to the news in Turkey.

October 24: Kander flew to Charleston, South Carolina.

October 25-29: Kander hosted several town halls and rallies around South Carolina.

October 30: Kander flew Back to his Campaign Headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri.

October 31: Kander hosted a Halloween Party with his volunteers and staff.

I think it is unacceptable for a country to harbor terrorists that attack our country. However, I believe the invasion was not the best way to find Bin Laden. We should have consulted the U.N. first and placed sanctions on Pakistan. I would meet with the leader of Pakistan in my first year to show our commitment to restoring peace to the region without excessive use of military force. I would also agree to adding them to the UNPP if other members agreed.

I'm glad the Kurds are going to get a vote on independence, they definitely deserve it after there commitment in the fight against the Neo-Ummyads. If they vote for independence, I would make sure the U.S. recognizes them as a country. After that, I would meet with Kurdish leaders to ensure a democratic transition.

I think that in Syria, we can continue our air strikes on the Neo-Ummyads, but be careful to not turn Syria into another Iraq. In Libya, I don't think we need to worry if they are in third, but if they look like they might win I would meet with other candidates to unite and stop the terrorists from winning.

I think I have experience that is needed to be President. I have experience in both the legislative and executive branches. I have worked with the other side to pass bill when I was a Missouri state representative. I was elected to serve as a Secretary of State where I had to enforce our election laws and I took Missouri into the top 10 in election performance. I might not have the decades of experience of my fellow candidates, but I believe my experience is enough to be President.

During this Campaign, I have traveled across the country, listening to your concerns and opinions, and I have heard from many that while Breseden is a good President he is not a progressive like most of our party. I am a progressive, but I am running to represent our entire country. I will stand for my values but will work with others to get the best for this country.
