War For America
An (Alternate) 2016 Election Game

RCP Average:
2016 Presidential Election polling currently:

Generic Democrat: 47%
Generic Republican: 40%
Undecided: 13%

Going into the month of September for 2015, The Democrats hope to have a second Democrat take Bredesen's place as President. While Bredesen himself has promised to not endorse anyone until the Convention, there are still those thinking that it could be a member of the adminstration. Meanwhile, the Republicans have to deal with the idea of rebuilding their party after losing 2 Landslides to Bredesen. With many fearing that the Democrats may be growing too strong, a strong coalition of Libertarians, Conservatives, and Phoenixites (from the Phoenix Movement, TTL's Tea Party movement), there is big hopes for a Republican Victory in the General.

Turn One: And We are off!

Establishment Anger rises
Anger at the Establishment members of politics, experts are left Wondering if their predictions are accurate

Bob Corker announces retirement
Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee, having been elected in 2006,
has Announced he is not seeking a third term

Democracy Now!
Protests erupt in China calling for a Democracy after the recent sanctions from President Bredesen

RCP Primary Polling

RCP Republican Primary Average:
Jeb Bush: 37%
Mitt Romney: 32%
Ben Shapiro: 7%
Undecided: 24%

Outsider vs the Establishment

Despite many thinking the Republican Primary would host a wide host of Candidates, so far, however, only three Candidates have made an appearance. First, is the brother of former President George Bush, Jeb Bush, who served as Governor of Florida from 1999-2007. Being seen as the Head of the Establishment, Jeb Bush has taken a good lead but if attacked enough, his lead may dry up.

In a strong second is Former Massachusetts Governor from 2003-2007 Mitt Romney. Being seen as the perfect contestant for the General, Mitt had attempted to run in both 2008 and 2012 only to lose both times to weaker Candidates. Now in a strong second against Jeb Bush, Romney could become the Nominee of the Republican Party

Finally, in a very distant third, Mr. Ben Shapiro of California has taken the position of the anti-Establishment Candidate. Despite him being far down in the polls, he can appeal to anti-establishment voters and may even win a few primaries himself.

RCP Democratic Primary Polling:
Blanche Lincoln: 57%
Jerry Brown: 30%
Jason Kander: 6%
Undecided: 7%

The Vice President, The Governor, and the State SOS

Standing strong and tall, the leader of the Democratic Party, Vice President Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas has been seen as the most likely Candidate for the Nomination in the General with support from Progressives, Moderates, and other supporters to probably win.

In second place is California Governor Jerry Brown. Hoping to rally support amongst the Progressive wing of the party, many feel that he leaves a bad taste in their mouths. However, there is still the chance that he can indeed be Nominated as the Candidate should Vice President Lincoln flop on several things.

Finally, there is Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander. Being a relative unknown, there is large doubts that he could ever be the Nominee, though some experts say that it is possible that he could at least win in Missouri if he plays his cards right.

BUSH CAMPAIGN SCHEDULE FOR SEPTEMBER 2015

September 1-3rd: travel to Iowa, meet with voters

September 4: Hold a rally in Des Moines Iowa

“Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!
*crowd chants Jeb! Jeb! Jeb!*
Thank you. Thank you. First of all, I would like to thank everyone for showing up here tonight. I’m very thankful for all of you.  But today,  I am here to talk about a more important issue, and that issue is leadership for the next four years.  Eight years ago, President Phil Bredesen was inaugurated.  Eight years ago our country was in a much safer place, but now we’re no longer there. This current president has been mediocre but we need some conservative leadership back in Washington DC. Someone who will stand up  for your religious freedom, someone who would reduce taxes across-the-board,  someone who will stand up to our enemies, someone who can be trusted and someone who is a true leader.  The other Republicans in this race  are incompetent. Mitt Romney was the nominee in 2012, why would you want him back? Ben Shapiro Has been critical of many republican leaders. He also lacks any kind of experience whatsoever. Neither of these people have as much executive experience as I do. After eight years of democratic control, it’s finally time to take back the White House quotation mar has been critical of many republican leaders. He also lacks any kind of experience whatsoever. Neither of these people have as much executive experience as I do. After eight years of democratic control, it’s finally time to take back the White House! God bless! I love you all!”

September 5th: Meet and Greet voters, answer questions
-potential voter: “Hello Governor Bush!”
-Jeb: “Hello!”
-voter: “My name is Ricky.”
-Jeb: “Hello Ricky”
-Ricky: “I have a question. Yesterday, at your rally, you said the other candidates from the Republican side aren’t fit for this job. Can you elaborate on that?”
-Jeb: “Thanks for the question. For eight years I served as the Governor of Florida.  For eight years Florida prospered. Governor Romney has tried twice now and failed both times. I can lead this country a lot like I live in Florida. Florida had a booming economy, great  education, and people were happy. Mr. Shapiro has absolutely no governing experience at all. I have actual experience and I will use that experience to lead me to the White House next November.”
-Ricky: “ i’ll consider voting for you”

September 6-10th: rally with church leaders, and farmers.

September 11th: Attend 9/11 memorial. Give a statement.
“14 years ago, on this spot, we were attacked. Not just New York. But America. It is, much like Pearl Harbor, a day that will live in infamy. I’m grateful for our heroes. Our men and women who rescued people on this day, fourteen years ago.”

September 12th: back to Florida, prepare for first debate.

September 13th-15th: Fly to New Hampshire, meet voters.

September 16th-20th: Host barnstorming events.

September 21st: Hold a rally in New Hampshire about Government Spending

September 22nd- 25th: Barnstorm through New Hampshire, hit every county

September 26th: more debate prep.

September 27th: host a town hall

September 28-29th: fly back to Florida

September 30th: rest, and plan for next month

Hello Chicago!!! My fellow citizens my fellow people here the great Windy City.  For the last 8 years we have been held hostage by the neoliberal Bourgeoisie!!  The rich had been making gains while the workers keep losing and losing!!

We have lost our status as a democracy and we have been taken over by the oppressive capitalist system.

We the people and the workers need to come together and take our democracy back so that is why I am running for President Of the United States!!

JEB BUSH DEBATE ANSWERS

Question 1: The American Medicine Act, or AMA, that was passed in 2009 gave large Tax Cuts and brought down the corporate Tax rate to 20%, allowing for the economic growth in this country. As president, how would you improve said economic growth?

“First of all, I will raise taxes on the billionaires. Okay? No more of this ‘I don’t have to pay taxes because I’m rich.’ I don’t wanna hear that. Raising taxes on the billionaires will help. We will also encourage small businesses, and support them. We will also not get more in debt, by finding ways to be less dependent on foreign companies and countries”.

Question 2: President Bredesen's decision to keep troops in Iraq has been seen by some as a horrible idea yet to others it is seen as a way to allow stability in the region to continue. How do you stand on Bredesen's decision?

“Let me say, I have lots of respect for President Bredesen. But this Iraq decision is a disaster. We shouldn’t still be in Iraq. However, we need something done. I say find some middle ground, keep only 5,000 troops over there. We need to protect ourselves.”

Question 3: The Democracy Now! protests that have been seen all around China as of late as led many to consider the idea of China cracking down on these protestors and violating their human rights. If such a thing was to occur, How would you respond to such Violations?

“First of all, I think the Chinese people have a point. They do need say in the government. Much like Ronald Reagan I think Government is the problem and not the solution. I don’t support big governments, and I think China needs capitalism. I would help the movement”

Candidate specific question: Governor, The idea of a third bush becoming president have left many a sour taste in the mouths of many. In what ways are you different from your father and brother?

“I am different in many ways. First of all, while I love my family, My Brother was a failed president who got us into this Iraq debacle. I’m my own candidate, I’m near the middle of the aisle compared to them. I think that on this campaign trail, people will see I am my own candidate”

Closing statements:
“Thank you all so much. I love you, I ask humbly for your vote. Thank you

Jason Kander Debate Answers

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

I believe many of Bernie's voters were not socialists, but disappointed with the Breseden presidency which did not pass enough progressive legislation to make them happy. Sanders only won 10 states even with the disappointment from the left, so I would not see his performance is something to worry about. However, I believe I am the best candidate up here to unite the party. I am neither a blue dog or a socialist, so I could appeal to both sides of our party without alienating the other side.

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

I was against the Iraq War since the beginning, but I can understand why Bresden kept troops in Iraq. Bush did a terrible job in Iraq, and Bresden has made it much better. I believe Iraq is stabilized enough that we can gradually withdraw our troops while we defeat the last remains of the Neo-Ummyads. We cannot simply not afford to continue keeping our current presence in Iraq.

Quote

I don't think Turkey will become the next Syria, especially under a Kander Presidency. While Assad was already hostile to the U.S., Turkey has been an ally of the U.S. for decades. We could easily get Turkey on the negotiating table, considering the U.S. and other NATO members make up more than half of Turkey's trade. We can't make Turkey into another Iraq either. I think that Russian interference is unlikely and if it happens I would temporarily put troops in Turkey just like Bresden did successfully in Ukraine.

Quote

I'm sure many of us were following the 2008 primary when a little known governor of Tennessee entered the race in a distant third. His name was Phil Bredesen. Now look where we are, Bredesen won two of the biggest landslides in history and is a household name. Same can be said for Bill Clinton and many others. If you would like to know more about me, go to JasonKander.com.

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

On September 11, 2001, our country was attacked by al-Qaeda. That's why I decided to join the army and serve in Afghanistan. I served for 8 years keeping this country safe. When I returned, I ran and was elected for State House in Missouri. At that time, Republicans had a supermajority in the State House, but I worked with them to pass Ethics Reform and Campaign Finance Reform. After that, I ran for Secretary of State of Missouri. I faced an uphill battle, my opponent was the president pro tempore of the Missouri Senate. But we won. And I didn't win by trying to be a moderate republican or hugging the middle. Even though Voter-ID Laws were overwhelmingly popular in my state, I was the only candidate that year who ran an ad opposing voter-ID laws in a competitive state. I stood for my values, and thats why so many Missourians liked me. In just 2 Years as Secretary of State, I took Missouri from 13th to 8th in Election Performance. Now, I hope I can earn your vote to bring the values I championed in Missouri to the Presidency.

Blanche Lincoln Democratic Debate answers

Opening Statement

“Hello and thank you for having me. It’s been an honor to serve as the first woman Vice President in this nation’s history. We’ve made incredible progress since I was elected alongside President Bredesen, but we must not get complacent. I want to make the historic election of a woman to this nation’s highest office coincide with progress in energy independence, a world class education system, and major reform to our government agencies to better help the average worker.

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

Senator Sanders’ run for President was the showing of a healthy democracy. It proved that the Democratic Party is a big tent party, with room for President Bredesen and Bernie Sanders. Now, I’ve said for a while that I’m a radical moderate, but I will absolutely choose a progressive for Vice President. I will also pursue progressive goals in equal pay, women’s rights, and the environment. I have a track record for getting stuff done.

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

The President knows this is an area where I disagree with him. It is way past time to scale back entanglements in Iraq. I will personally pursue a less aggressive foreign policy, especially in areas that we are in danger of overstepping our role. America should serve as the world’s firefighter, not its police force.”

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

This is the perfect example of us stepping up as firefighters. We see that Turkey and Russia are playing with matches, so we need to halt these reckless actions. First, we need an international coalition in the UN to decry any country, not just Turkey, who tries to stoke authoritarianism. The next step is that we must use sanctions to tell Russia to keep out of the way of progress. I truly believe that we can use a strong arm without moving toward boots on the ground.

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

I am so happy to carry the legacy of women like Geraldine Ferraro, Shirley Chisholm, and my home state’s own, Hattie Caraway. I was overjoyed to serve as Vice President, however, I am an independent voice with my own vision for the country. I will lead us in a less interventionalist foreign policy direction. I will push for greener and more independent energy production. The President’s legacy is one that should not only be protected, but expanded on. That’s what I will do as President.

Closing Statement

In 2008, America made history, electing me alongside President Bredesen. This year, we have nearly as much uncertainty as we had then. The answer is not to throw away the progress that this administration has made, but to build upon it. If you nominate me, I will protect your rights as workers, expand energy jobs of tomorrow, and work tirelessly to bring our troops into safety. It is incumbent on all of us to bend the arc of this country towards justice, and to not get complacent with the progress this administration has ushered in. Let’s make history, America.

Ben Shapiro GOP 1st Debate Answers

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.
"Well first off let me just say that I am glad to be here tonight! Now then, when it comes to the question of how we can better our economy is one that I've asked myself ever since I became ensconced in the world of policy at a young age. Since then I think the answer is clear. We first need to make sure that we cut taxes across the board. When Americans have more to spend and use for resources then the better! Fact of the matter is Americans know better how to spend and use their own hard earned money than government! We know this works because it's been done before with the JFK & Reagan Tax cuts. Also, I am afraid that Jeb Bush simply doesn't understand the positive aspects that come with cutting taxes FOR EVERYONE. Fact of the matter is we have seen previous tax cuts actually being positive for the federal revenue due to overall increase in economic activity therefore increasing our federal revenue and helping us reduce our crippling debt which is desperately needed in today's economy! In fact, the JFK tax cuts ended up cutting all individual income tax rates by 20%. In fact an aspect that made the JFK tax cuts so effective is the very thing that Jeb Bush stated he was against which is reducing the top marginal rate from 91% to 70% Which was essentially a cut for the rich during that time. In fact he wants to do the opposite! However, despite cutting taxes on the wealthy the evidence shows that the economy was actually booming! So much so that federal revenue actually increased! So when Bush says this he is essentially pandering towards dems instead of actually looking at the facts."

Quote

"I'd say it's best that we should keep some form of presence in Iraq. Fact of the matter is we cannot turn back when we were the ones who invaded Iraq and now we can't afford to take the risk of leaving this chaos to itself. We cannot have this mentality of whatever happens there, happens there, and shrug it off like nothing. We cannot pretend that this is not something that will have any blow back in terms of terrorism threatening our country if we decide to be idle in the process. Before 9/11 we didn't think anything of that magnitude could have ever happened but now we live in a day in age where we must be vigilant in what happens in the world if we wish to protect the American people to the best of our ability and that's exactly what I'll do as President!"

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.
"I personally think it's great to see that the people of China are waking up and want to see a country in which their rights are granted by god instead of government and I will be more than happy to support them as President. We know that as the leader of the free world that we must always encourage the values of freedom because those are the very values that have been enshrined in our constitution since our founding. If China were to ever do such a thing than I would immediately question their intentions and at least offer support to those protesting and negotiate with China's leaders so that those who seek freedom can enjoy the many fruits it has to offer!"

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.
"Well I never asked myself this question but I'd say I certainly have more in common with the phoenix movement than both of these opponents. Fact of the matter is I've been frustrated with the same boring leadership. For one we have a two time failed presidential candidate and an overconfident former Governor from Florida. In fact while I've been criticized because of my lack of elected experience they fail to recognize that with my candidacy I bring something more valuable than political posturing. I bring the values of the people with me. The very reason that I stand here is because I find myself to be more in touch with the people. I don't need to be a Senator or Governor to understand that America's problems are extremely self evident and need a proper fix by someone who has actually been among the people instead of in Washington! It's time as America that we look for a different solution instead of hoping that the same tired old ways work and that's exactly why I am here! To be a breath of fresh air for the American people! Thank you!"

GE Polling

Generic Democrat: 46%
Generic Republican: 43%
John Batchtell: 4%
Undecided: 7%

TURN 2 - OCTOBER SLUGFEST

INTERNAL TURMOIL IN TURKEY
Tensions are beginning to boil in Turkey due to President Erdogan's recent power grab.

IRAQI KURDS HAVE HOPE
Iraq Government announces interest in Kurdish independence referendum

COMMUNIST JOINS RACE
self professed Communist John Batchtell has joined the race as an Independent.

RCP Primary Polling

RCP Republican Primary Average:

Mitt Romney: 39%
Jeb Bush: 20%
Ben Shapiro: 17%
Undecided: 24%

Shapiro on the rise!

After a debate performance that made many in Republican circles see him as more a socialist and a severe flip flopper, Jeb Bush has fallen Massively in the polls with Romney replacing him as the front-runner for the Republican Party. At the same time, however, Ben Shapiro, thanks to a very strong debate performance and strong campaigning, has risen up by 10 points in recent Primary Polls and show him in a strong second in New Hampshire.

RCP Democratic Primary Polling:
Blanche Lincoln: 37%
Barack Obama: 32%
Jason Kander: 15%
Undecided: 16%

Hope and Change 2.0!

After the debate, Jason Kander witnessed a strong surge in the polls and when Jerry Brown dropped out, everything seemed like it would be good for Kander as he was expected to surge to a strong position in the 30th percentile against the Vice President only to be stopped by the entrance of Illinois Senator Barack H. Obama. While the Vice President retains her position as Front-Runner, it's only a 5 point lead against Senator Obama that threatens to fall apart at the slightest moment.

GOP Debate Winner

Ben Shapiro

With a weak performance from Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush that made him seem more socialist than Conservative and Former Governor Mitt Romney a No-Show, Mr. Ben Shaprio of California was brought to be the winner with an overwhelming 93% of viewers thinking he won.

DEM Debate Winner

TIE

With Governor Jerry Brown a no-show at the debate, it was a match between both Kander and Vice President Lincoln, with Many experts believing that Lincoln would knock Kander out. The opposite happened, however, and Kander showed strong debating skills against the Vice President. The crucial point was when Vice President Lincoln talked about her disagreement with President Bredesen on Iraq, which many Democrats seem to agree on being the right call. While Jason argued the same idea of withdrawing now, His closing statement made many remember 2008 and Underdog Bredesen in the 2008 Democratic Primaries. Thus, after debating, it can be assumed that it is a tie between the Vice President and Missouri Secretary of State.

Shapiro 2016 #1 Ad: Out with the old. In with the new.
(Playing in the states of South Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, & Iowa)

Narrator:
"This is Mr. Ben Shapiro. He started off with humble beginnings living in Los Angeles as a child. At the young age of 16, Ben Shapiro began writing articles about the issues that mattered in the country and to most Americans on the internet. From then on he grew a fascination with the world of policy and studied a multitude of issues. As Shapiro progressed he found himself inspired by the ideas of Ronald Reagan, William F. Buckley, and Calvin Coolidge."

Narrator:
"Before rising to popularity Shapiro would attend and graduate from Harvard and begin furthering his experience by going on to work with Breitbart under Andrew Breitbart the founder. After seeing Breitbart ruined by Steve Bannon, Ben would go on to create his own podcast to espouse his ideas and eventually create his own company with the support of thousands soon after known as the Daily Wire."

Narrator:
"With the opportunities he was given he went around the United States talking to young folks in universities to spread his message of conservatism while answering any questions that came with it. When he wasn't doing a podcast or writing articles he wrote books of his thoughts on a variety of issues in the United States."

Narrator:
"Shapiro has had a history of studying policy and the issues that Americans are concerned about from healthcare to the necessity of job creation! Shapiro doesn't need to be a Senator or a Governor to understand the issues and concerns of fellow Americans because he's always been there! Unlike most politicians, his values are not from Washington but from his life and his past experiences. He is not someone afraid to stand his ground and be in the line of fire that is politics. He has always been confident in his core beliefs and has always been dedicated to his work. In a day in age where we need reliability in our leaders let's go for Shapiro! Let's invoke a new generation of energy and accomplishments! Let's have a President Ben Shapiro!"

(I am Ben Shapiro and I approve this message!)

"We need a true conservative in the white house next year to bring back the American dream. We don't need politicians who have built their careers just for this moment, we need a business leader who knows how to fix a failing company. This is why I am running for president of the United States of America, I am going to bring conservative results and I will not hide from my constituents.

Americans don't need more Washington Rhetoric, Americans need results and that's what I will bring."
