Probably within the next 20 years. I bet it'll be a "passable" Latino like Rubio though.

10-15 years. Cruz and Rubio would be the most likely ones.

Cruz and Rubio are most likely
Maybe Sandoval
Toomey and Sununu are Hispanic by the broadest definition (Portuguese and Cuban reflectively)

Sununu not really, his dad was born in Cuba while his parents were on a business trip, and is actually Lebanese or Palestinian, and I think John Sununu's mom was from El Salvador but with 100% Greek ancestry. So he's about as Cuban as Mitt Romney is Mexican.

To answer the question, I think it's almost guaranteed that at least one of the D nominees in 2020, 2024, or 2028 will be Latino – probably the VP. So I'm saying either 2024 (Cruz will definitely run if he wins reelection, as will Rubio) or 2028 (a Democrat, most likely).

Probably Ted Cruz in 2025 will be the first Hispanic President.

I think this person will probably be a liberal Democrat instead of a conservative Republican, unless the Republican party starts to pursue more pro-Hispanic policies.

Probably a Democrat in the 2030’s/40’s. I don’t see Cruz or Rubio becoming president and the current rising stars in the Democratic Party for President are black and white (along with Harris who’s Blasian).

Why do so many people think Cruz or Rubio? They've missed their chance in 2016. By 2024 there will be new, shinier versions of them (Haley, Cotton, maybe someone elected in 2018/2020). I guess they'll run but I'm not sure whether they'll gain traction. It depends on whether the donors want to give them a second chance I guess.
