What song evokes the most nostalgic feelings in you, I mean?

This popped up in my mind earlier today and since then I've been listening to all the Lorde, Chase Rice, Icona Pop, and all the other popular songs I can find from 2013-2014 but still haven't found one that I can really place at #1 without a doubt.

Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue

The song's stuck with me forever, plus the lyrical content.

that's another one I've thought of too. For some reason that one is always paired with "All Night Long" by Lionel Richie in my mind.

I listened to David Bowie - Starman a lot as a kid and it was a favorite of mine. This was even before I knew who David Bowie was let alone became as obsessed with him as I am today.

Songs from my earliest possible memories:

"(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" - Bryan Adams
"Rush Rush" - Paula Abdul
"I'm Your Baby Tonight" - Whitney Houston
"Emotions" - Mariah Carey

Funny enough, all of these were topping the charts in late 1990 and throughout 1991. My memories of this era would make me 2 or 3 years old, which is remarkable.

When I was young, my parents bought me an "Alvin & the Chipmunks" record, featuring covers of popular songs.  There's nothing like Alvin singing "Eye of the Tiger".  Other songs included "You're the One that I Want", "9 to 5", "Fame", "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)", and "Believe or Not (from The Greatest American Hero)".

Reminds me of the fateful Summer of 2001.

"All the Right Moves" by OneRepublic.  Why?  I don't know.  I think I was driving on a highway in the summer with the windows down at 2 a.m. and I felt pretty good.

And also the Chai Kingdom theme of Super Mario Land prompts my inner nostalgic feelings.
The pentatonic harmonies in combination with the minor key make me feel like a child again. 😪

Many sincere thanks to the composers of those two genius themes!

Probably The Circle of Life from The Lion King

This. Or Hakuna Matara. Or any of the songs from Jungle Book. Or Cars, I watched that movie so many times as a kid...
