I don't afford to have subjective opinions in philosophical issues, i have to be satisfied with objective findings.

HUME - probably the fourth-best philosoph (after PLATON, KANT and DESCARTES) - was too sceptical and radical for the NeoDogmatism of "les cheiks de la rue Royale" (=coterie holbachique) and as a consequence ended as the master of KIERKEGAARD and NEWMAN, as a reactionary...
