Trump's black support in the Reuters tracking poll just collapsed from 22% to 13% in a week. What does this mean!??! I expect a dozen headlines to be written over this.

In reality that support was never really there but maybe they all listened to the "poopidy shoop" song and realized that Kanye truly earned his infamous reputation. Actually it's probably his best song for how funny it is. I never liked any of his music, even back before he went off the rails.

For all we know, he has some early onset dementia. There are 30 yo and 40 yo' s that have Alzheimer's.

That's been stable? The data suggests that the "Freiwall" maybe reforming but no one ever unseats a sitting president by the bare minimum. I guess there's a time for everything!

It's not quite 37-61. Look at the question wording.

They ask if you would rate Trump's job performance as "Excellent", "Pretty Good", "Just Fair", or "Poor".

"Just Fair" doesn't exactly imply "disapprove", although it's not much of an endorsement either.

However, 17% people say Trump is doing an excellent job, whereas 47% are saying he is doing a poor job.

Trump only won Michigan 47.2 to 47.0. Michigan was pretty much in "fluke" territory, unlike, say, Pennsylvania, and was lot at least partially because the people of Michigan didn't think they were living in a swing state, so you get the outsized third party vote share and low voter turnout you get when the race "doesn't matter." I'm far more confident about MI coming home than any other Obama->Trump state.

I dont think he's getting a prisoner release bump. Its not really that big of a news story at the moment.

If 3.9% unemployment and possible peace with North Korea can't get him past 42% then nothing will

I didn't read it that way at all.  His comment was just that Trump's numbers are low even though things are going pretty well.  That's not at all the same as wishing bad things would happen to make the numbers go lower (which might or might not even happen).
