Secretary of State Hillary Clinton narrowly defeats Businessman Donald Trump 278-260.
Marco Rubio wins the 2020 Republican Nomination and chooses senator Mitt Romney as his running mate. Will Hillary be reelected or will Rubio clinch the Presidency?

I could see a map that is very similar to 2012 but with a 2004 (48.2-50.7) margin. Hillary basically wins all the Kerry states + and New Mexico. Colorado, Virginia, and Nevada are all within the PV margins. Hillary wins one of those when she needed all three. Rubio wins Ohio, Iowa, and North Carolina each by about 3-5 points. Georgia and Arizona by 5-6. Rubio wins Florida by 7-8 and Texas by 12.

Basically, the trends that started in 2014 are slowed down by a mixture of Trump losing and Rubio not having the type of charisma to fan it. However, the trends do continue and perhaps are even made faster in Florida.
