Ignore the EV totals, but uh, it depends on how Mandel’s Presidency goes. I assume President Mandel is elected in 2028, after two terms of a Democratic president, he’s the first Republican to win the popular vote since Bush. He’s Trumpist, but more polished. I can’t see America electing a tea party leader so far into its future, but I don’t know what will happen. I think Newsom will be almost a Romney-esque figure by then, being Governor from (2019-2027) may end up having a floundering Campaign. My guess is Newsom/Sinema or Newsom/Fairfax defeats Mandel/Bush or Mandel/Haley. campaigns on the previous president and Obama’s coattails, and he narrowly pulls off a win.

My guess is he'd probably pick Kobach or Haley to be his VP

Mandel was elected Governor in 2022 and re elected in 2026. He succeeded the former Republican governor Mike Dewine and defeated his democratic oppenent Betty Sutton.

Last three presidential elections

2020 Election

Pres. Donald Trump (R-NY)/V.P Mike Pence (R-IN) - 296 EV 48.2% PV
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA)/Gov. John Bel Edwards (D-LA) - 246 EV 47.2% PV

2024 Election

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ)/Rep. Luis Guiterrez (D-IL) - 281 EV 48.5% PV
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)/Sen. Todd Young (R-IN) - 257 EV 48.5% PV

Note - Senator Cruz narrowly won the Popular vote by literally less than 1000 votes however still lost the election due to North Carolina swing. President Trump came out a few days later and said he believed that if he ran for a third term he would have won. President Trump also accused China and North Korea of hacking the election and stealing the election from Ted Cruz. Cruz didn't really have any comment. President Trump also said it was time to do away with the electoral college despite the fact that he won only with the electoral college in 2016.

2028 Election

Gov. Josh Mandel (R-OH)/Frm Gov. Kris Kobach (R-KS) - 376 EV 54.0% PV
Pres. Cory Booker (D-NJ)/V.P Luis Guiterrez (D-IL) - 162 EV 45.2% PV
