Generally am against primarying incumbents, but Newman isn't a joke candidate (unlike most incumbent-challengers) and Lipinski is a terrible fit for the district. FF.

If I lived in that district, I'd register Democrat to vote for Lipinski.

This. Not big on progressive purism in primaries, but this is a case where I think the incumbent Dem nowhere near represents the district philosophically. Think she'll win and hope she does.

This, and not just the district- he's the sort of person who doesn't help the Democratic party or gives it any useful ideological diversity (voting against the keyest of key bills in a watered down healthcare reform), plus is anti-choice which means that I'm morally opposed to one of his views. Newman is clearly a major FF.
