Yeah, I think he is an exuberant speaker. Will he run on these policies he laid out in this speech, we have yet to see.

I missed both the SOTU and the rebuttal, so I didn't vote in the poll. But, if Kennedy is anything like the rest of his family, then he gave a good speech - and if Trump is anything like Trump, his was awful and/or full of lies.

Personally, I'd like to see another Kennedy rise in American politics. The others in his family were very good public servants and did a lot to advance progress in this country; I have no doubt he'd do the same.

I listened in on part of the SOTU (the part when he was using dead children as an excuse to deport DREAMers) and he literally sounded like a comedian doing a Donald Trump impression. His already excruciatingly grating voice was even worse than usual too. He can't give a speech while seeming authentic unless he's being a scatterbrained loudmouthed demagogue. Sad!

Kennedy wasn't a perfect speaker (a little nervous and took oddly long pauses) but the message was incredibly good and he delivered it effectively, even if he didn't do it with charisma quite on par with JFK, RFK, or Barack Obama.

Another complaint about Kennedy: Dems need to stop doing the Tim Kaine "I can kinda speak Spanish" thing when talking about Dreamers; a group that almost entirely speaks English as a 1st language.
