For this one I like the Democratic map.

How about the majority minority one for that extra LOL gerrymander effect?

Dem gerrymander looks the nicest and works the best for me.

For comparison, here's a muon rules version from 2014. There are no chopped counties and the Little Rock UCC is kept intact. The range is only 2129.

Your map is fine, but not as pretty as the equivalent 538 map I don't think. Presumably yours has fewer chops however.

The issue is whether the 538 map has any chops. Smiley. Maybe it is apples to oranges, if the 538 maps have absolute population equality between CD's.  Different rules of the road lead to different results.

538 custom maps almost certainly do not have perfect equality, particularly the county split minimization map.

Personally, my favorite map here is the Competitive map.

538 maps appear to have n-1 cut counties with no attempt to reduce chop size,

Expected, but still hilarious that the "current map" and "Republican gerrymander" are the same, despite the current map between drawn by Democrats.

The Dem map is actually pretty non-gerrymandered and it gets rid of the weirdly-shaped 3rd district.

If the Arkansas Dems weren't so incompetent, we could have had a version of the Dem map that 538 did.

The current map isn't really a partisan gerrymander, imo. The 3rd districts looks awful, but that corner of the state is deep R no matter how you draw it.

The Dem map is surprisingly nicely done.   That looks great.
