I'm currently in the 1st. If not counting that, I'd pick the 2nd easily, followed by the 4th, 3rd, and finally 5th.

Portland - mostly in 3rd, with small parts in 1st
Eugene - 4th
Salem - 5th

I grew up in the 4th, but wouldn't want to live there. Same goes for the 5th. The 2nd is too rural. This leaves the 1st and 3rd. My number one pick would be the City of Portland, west of the Willamette, which is in the 1st, but the 3rd, west of the 205 would be acceptable as well.

Visiting Cannon Beach was a life-changing experience, so I'm going to go with the 1st.

I’d want to live in the city of Portland, but if I lived outside of the city then I’d want to live in the 1st district.

Downtown Portland, the Pearl District, Goose Hollow, and the Northwest/Nob Hill areas are all in the 1st, which, IMO, are the best parts of the city. All the 3rd has is the South Waterfront and Hollywood.

I have old friends that retired to Brookings and have generally heard good things about Medford and Ashland.

And a place like Humboldt or Marin but more affordable would be awesome-tacular.

So I'll go with the 4th.

Downtown Portland, but Ashland would be my second choice.

I'm a suburb person, so probably the 1st, 3rd, or 5th. That said, I enjoyed living in a college town, so the 4th with Corvallis might not be bad. Nothing against the 2nd (wouldn't mind a vacation home near Crater Lake), but it's not at the top of my list. I can't say that there's a district that I definitely would not want to live in.

I guess I'll vote for the fifth?
