My cousin got stranded in India and wasn't able to vote. She's a bit dissapointed by that.

Increase in turnout seems higher in areas where the Opposition is stronger, although both sides seem to be turning out in good numbers.

In the 2015 and 2019 elections, the Ipsos exit poll basically matched the final results. In the 2020 Presidential election, the exit poll was also spot on.

Turnout in 2019 was 61.7%. With these kind of figures at 5pm, the final turnout will probably surpass 70%.

This will be the highest turnout ever.

From what I have read on Wikipedia, no election in Poland had more than 70% participation.

But it makes sense: Eastern Europe, as they get wealthier and more educated, have seen steady increases in turnout. We have seen the same in Czechia.

If you're wondering why Gdansk is an outlier, it's currently raining heavily along the Baltic coast.

Did I get this right?

-> PIS will remain largest party but without a majority, but Confederacy won't join their government, even with a majority for both of them?

-> PO-Third Way-Leftica could have a majority, but are they governing together? DId all 3 agree?

PO + TD + Lewica have repeatedly said that they will govern together if they win a majority.

Some parts of KON are more amenable to PIS, if PIS is close enough to a majority they could conceivably bribe a few.

But: (from: https://vote-2012.proboards.com/thread/17546/2023-polish-general-election?page=2)

bigger increases in the west versus the east (favouring the opposition), however, the turnout increase in cities versus rural areas now slightly favours rural areas (favouring PiS)

Massive turnout in Warsaw, low turnout in the SE rurals even though PISS offered bribes.
