As we all know, Senators John McCain and Rand Paul don't seem to like each other and their feud got intense over the years.

John McCain is a hawkish neoconservative while Rand Paul, just like his father Ron, is described as a dovish libertarian isolationist and disagrees with his party on most of foreign policy issues and counter-terrorism issues.

In 2013, McCain said that a general election match-up between Hillary Clinton and Rand Paul in 2016 would have been a tough choice for him due to Paul's stance on foreign policy and terrorism. He also called Paul as well as Ted Cruz wacko birds for their opposition to John Brennan's nomination as Director of the CIA. In April 2017, while the Senate was debating on approving a treaty allowing Montenegro to integrate NATO, Paul objected this and McCain accused him of working for Vladimir Putin. A day later, Paul said that his colleague made case for term limits and that "we're lucky Trump is in charge instead of McCain."

For fun, who do you think would win between John McCain and Rand Paul in a presidential election match-up between these two lawmakers? And how the electoral map would look like?

McCain probably wins the Deep South, Arizona, and maybe a couple other states. I think Rand Paul would win easily.

Including New Hampshire of course since McCain won this state twice during the GOP primaries of 2000 and 2008.

Rand Paul is a MUCH closer fit to NH politically.
