Can I count all of I Samuel->II Kings as one book? If not, then I Samuel by itself.

Song of Songs (Song of Solomon), because it describes the beauty of a romantic relationship.

Psalms. It’s the best, at least to me.

I like Proverbs a lot for the advice; I like Psalms a lot for the creative imagery and simple praise; I like Samuel through Chronicles because they have the best stories in the Old Testament; I like Job because I can relate that to my personal life the most. Those books are my absolute favorite.

Probably Daniel.

Esther was pretty good too though.

Ruth - a very humane and poetic work, expressing themes of courage and the search for belonging
Jonah - God's universal love and redemption in the journey of a flawed hero.
Genesis - God as creator and a rich tapestry of stories about relationships.

Song of Songs (Song of Solomon), because it describes the beauty of a romantic relationship.
Yes, that's a good one too.

I don't know that I could name just one, but Ruth, Esther, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes are probably among them.  I enjoy reading some of Solomon's wisdom, and I particularly like the simplicity he advocates in Ecclesiastes.

Esther is a great book that tells the story of a strong, courageous woman and is nice for refuting conservative preachers who say that feminism is inherently unbiblical and anti-Christian.

I also like how Ruth describes the bond between a foreign woman and her Hebrew mother in law.  I have an aunt by marriage whose parents were both alcoholics and abusive to her, and she has a closer relationship with my grandma because of it.  If I ever marry, I want to find a woman who will have that kind of bond with the rest of my family as well, and Ruth reminds me of that.
