America does not need the world, the world needs America. If they don't like us, they can stick it

Trump's sh**thole comment aside, that's the most retarded thing I had to endure reading this week.

I really can't tell if you're an example pf Poe's Law, or just modern Republicanism.

If the rest of the world were to "stick it" tomorrow our economy and living standards would immediately crash.

With the rise of China and its foreign largesse (look up OBOR) this is increasingly not the case. This post is the height of uninformed arrogance

This is an objectively false statement on so many levels.  Shockingly enough, the world is actually a pretty complicated place.  By the way, Reaganfan, strong people don’t add inches to their d!cks.  In fact, when folks like you and Trump constantly try to do so with endless displays of impotent rage, it comes across as weak and more than a little pathetic.

There's also a small thing called *cough* international trade *cough*.

Cut off America from that and you throw both the American and the rest of the world's economy into a economic depression. Almost 15% of the United States' Gross Domestic Product stems directly from exports (and since heavily export-focused industries and less export-focused industries in America are also depending on each other you would not only hurt the former with their 15%).

But I don't know why this needs to be pointed out like every knee-jerk nationalist Republican on this forum is like 12 years old or something.

World leadership goes beyond economic help; we are (unfairly) expected to be the world's police/moral authority. a responsibility that china/india/eu don't want. whenever sh**t hits the fan in the world, they always cry out for america

Is anybody really surprised at what Joe Walsh says? He's not known for his racial sensitivities. But the fact that Republicans are not saying anything on the matter is quite telling in itself. This is a big factor as to why I left the Republican party as a minority myself.

The two Republicans who "didn't recall" were using a standard line when you don't want to admit something openly in public.

"I don't recall" is not a specific denial, it's an attempt to cover your backside if a tape comes out later.

The damage has already been done. Purdue and Cotton waited too long. And on a Sunday no less.

Rand Paul: 'Unfair' to call Trump a racist
Quote

Mr. Paul is right, to a limited extent. It is unfair to just call Mr. Trump a 'racist'. A more fair description might include 'ghastly scum', 'abominable waste of oxygen and DNA' and 'threat to national security'.

These two Senators are scum.
I hope that Graham comes forward and just blasts both of them for lying to the American people.

DAVID PERDUE on @ThisWeekABC goes from 'do not recall' toward outright denial of 'sh**thole countries' : "This is a gross misrepresentation, and this is not the first time Sen. Durbin has done it."

Well, Perdue's Republican Senate colleague Tim Scott has already gone on record that Lindsay Graham has said to him that the reports about Trump's "sh**thole" comments were "basically accurate".

What is it now? "Gross misprepresentation" or "basically accurate"? One side within the Republican Party is clearly lying here.

It's such a stupid, infantile position to think that nations can simply pull away from the International community and someone be fine. It's the sort of pumped up nationalism that has lead Britain to try and undertake the colossus cluster- of Brexit, based on the view that we 'beat Hitler' and 'had an empire' therefore we don't need an economic/political support structure.

The US's power comes from it's allies; a major reason why Iraq was such a sh**tshow was because there was a lot less logistical support from other European Countries; meaning that Britain and the US had to take excessively large roles in reconstructing the country.

There's countless other examples; from every continent, of how having allies makes America infinitely more powerful, and influential.

Well, I guess it would be up to Donald Trump to clear this up. So far, he has merely denied that he has used these exact words, but he also said that he used "tough language" at the meeting, whatever that means. Trump seems pretty coy in revealing which words he has used exactly.
