The World of President Bredesen

The North Korean Civil War

Hyon Yong Chol, General for Kim Jong-un and Current head of the Surpreme Leader's National Government, or the current Government of the crumbling North Korea

In 2013, 2 years after the Death of Kim Jong-Il, Kim Jong-un was Assassinated by a joint American, South Korean, Russian, Japanese, and British Task Force after President Bredesen deemed him too dangerous to be alive. The mission was very successful but Immediately afterward, the country fell into 7 warring factions, each one fighting to maintain control of the Nation. So far, the Supreme Leader's National Government, lead by former General Hyon Yong Chol, has been seen as the current Government due to its aid from the People's Republic of China, Vietnam, and Russia. The other major faction in the Civil War, the Popular Korean Liberation and Unification Front, a group dedicated to ending the Civil War with a unification of North and South Korea, has shown great promise After using the tactics of Fidel Castro and Mao Zedong before they were the leaders of their respective countries. So far, NATO has been reluctant to join the Civil War, especially President Bredesen of the United States, however, there are those in the nation from both Parties screaming for intervention in the Conflict in one way or another

Afghanistan and Iraq Stable due to continued US presence for last 9 years

A few US soldiers patrol a street in Iraq

Recently, Iraq and Afghanistan has shown to be astoundingly Stable due to a continued US army presence in the region. Because of this, many from the Democratic Party wants to bring the troops home, including Senator Hillary Clinton of New York and Former Vice President Bernie Sanders. However, the President thinks this is not the best of ideas until the 2020s, when the US government is absolutely sure that all terrorist organizations have been crushed entirely in both countries.

2nd Iranian Revolution

Iranian citizens protesting the Ayallatoyah and the Nation's corruption before the Revolution turned violent in October of 2012

In 2010, President Bredesen announced a large blockade and multiple sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Within 2 years, the country had become a conflict area due to rebels having stopped protesting the Government raised up military weapons against them and led the 2nd Iranian Revolution. So far, to Rebels who are fighting for Democracy and a freer Iran has received support from NATO, Iraq, and Israel as well as even Russia. The IRI has received support from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan but so far, the battle for the Nation's capital, Tehran, has heated up greatly. The US has not gotten involved with Military aid but they have given supplies and training to the rebels, knowing that Iran might be a better ally than Saudi Arabia is if they become a true democracy

'Democracy Now!' protests cripple Chinese Government

Chinese Citizens protest for a free democracy in China

As of 2011, The People's Republic of China has been crippled from the group "Democracy Now!' which peacefully protests the communist regime in China. For the last few years, the protests have been slowly getting stronger until, as of March, the Military has refused to interfere in a protest, going so far as to even join the protests. Phil Bredesen has not publicly announced a position on the protests but it is clear that he and multiple politicians in the US is very happy about the protests.

Economy doing Great; National Surplus at an all-time high

A graph showing how well the Economy is doing in the last year's of Bredesen's Presidency

As of 2010, the DOW Jones has continued to grow higher and higher, by now reaching $28,432, the highest it has ever been. The Tax Cuts and 20% Corporate tax rate have been given as a handful of reasons for how well the Economy is doing and with the President having a large National Surplus of $11.2 Trillion. Along with these facts, the Unemployment rate has been at a low of 1.1%, thus proving how well the Economy has been doing in the past 5 years under Bredesen.

Both Chambers of Congress controlled by Democratic party for 9 years

the US capitol Building

Due to the popularity of President Bredesen and how well the nation has been doing under him, to Democratic party has maintained control of both Chambers of Congress since 2006. Despite strong Polling Currently, Party exhaustion has shown that the Republicans may be able to catch up but only barely.

Governor Marco Rubio wins Re-election against Charlie Crist

the Election map of Florida in 2014

In the state of Florida, Current governor Marco Rubio has won with 67.9% of the vote to his opponent, former Governor Charlie Crist. This Victory is very surprising as Rubio had always been polled from 3-7 points below Crist for the entire race. In his acceptance speech, the governor thanked his voters and has also raised the possibility of running for the Oval Office himself.

Syrian Civil War coming to a close; Libya stable Democracy

Libyan citizens celebrate as Muammar Gaddafi announces he is stepping down for free elections to take place next year

In a recent turn of events, to Nation of Syria's Civil War is coming to a solid close after 4 years of full warfare as Assad's Assassination in 2013  allowed for a free Democracy group of rebels taking control of Damascus. From this, the only group truly left fighting is the former Government's forces but they have recently been pushed back to the city of Aleppo and is a losing situation, giving the rest of the world a sigh of relief as the Syrian Civil War nears it's end. At the same time, Muammar Gaddafi has announced very recently that he is peacefully stepping down and allowing free Elections to be held next year. The former dictator has not given any evidence if he has been forced by the United States to Step down but Currently, several Citizens have been celebrating in the streets and it seems that Libya may be approaching a new era of peace and stability.

Current RCP of 2016 Election just from predictions

Generic Democrat: 48%
Generic Republican: 42%
Undecided: 10%

Rules:
1. This Game will be divided into three main pieces. Primaries (which will end at the Conventions), Early General Election (Early August - Late September) and the Late General Election (Early October-Election Day). This Game will officially start on July 5th, 2015 and will end on Election day in game as it covers the 2016 Presidential Election

2. Each Turn lasts from 96 Hours at the least to 120 Hours at the most in Real Life. If one does not post within the Allotted time, there will be consequences unless they either A) Give a summary of a campaign or B) Publicly drop out. You can also PM for a reason of absence and as such you will not be penalized for it.

3. PM me for Endorsements. No Candidate may receive more than 4 per turn except for really special occasions such as the Governors and Newspapers.

4. If one does exceedingly well in a debate, expect a 10-20% polling increase but don't get comfortable on your High Horse. If hit enough times, that lead will crumble away to nothing, so when you have a lead via a Debate performance, use it to the best of your Ability.

5. There will be several Debates, all of which will be announced when we are coming up to them each. Prep and ready yourself on each issue. Be sure be ready in case your opponent creates an entirely different issue. In every debate, performance will determine success later on down the line.

6. Positive, Moderate, and Negative news will be determined by an RNG of 1-60 (1-20 being Negative, 21-40 Being Moderate, 41-60 Being Positive). Negative can give a huge drop while Positive news can give a huge boost. Real Life News will also be around for players to exploit and/or influence to their own purposes so be prepared for that.

7. Third Party Candidates and Independents are available (such as Libertarian, Constitutionalist, Socialists, Green) but they can only Join After the Primaries are over with.

Game will start when both parties have 3 or more Candidates

Just a suggestion, but perhaps you might want to leave this one or others for later? I'm my experience crafting games on this board it's not necessarily a good idea to have too many games at the same time, particularly if those games are too similar to each other.

Not because it's bad to have several active games (it's wonderful to see this board so active), but because it can be harded to have active player bases as they would divide themselves among too many games.

Alright then. This game will be locked until the 2008 game is finished unless someone wants to adopt it. PM me if you want to do that
