Hillary wins the nomination in 2008 and gets elected handily with Sherrod Brown as her vice president. In 2012, Mitt Romney pulls off a narrow win over President Clinton. In 2016, Senator Barack Obama, who came close to win the nomination in 2008, tries again and easily captures the nomination. What happens?

It is generally believed he likely would have abandoned the Senate for Illinois’ Governorship given his frustration with DC. An articulate, two-term Governor and former Senator with high minority turnout could be formidable, but I don’t know if it would triumph over the advantages of incumbency and a decent economy. I imagine the two sparring over how to address Russia.
