Surely nobody expected Moore to bow out gracefully, did they?

I'm really proud of the AL Certification board. As Republicans, they have every incentive to delay certification as long as possible and cater to Moore's every whim. But they're actually making him accept the loss.

The ALGOP is probably very unhappy with him for costing them Sessions’s seat.

There's plenty of blame to go around.  If Trump hadn't picked Sessions for AG, there would have been no vacancy.  If Bentley hadn't appointed Strange in what looked like a quid pro quo, the interim senator would likely have been elected easily.  And if Ivey hadn't moved up the special election, things might have gone differently in the GOP primary next year (that one's less certain).

In response to Moore's claims that he is undoubtedly innocent of harassment thanks to a polygraph test, I offer this from Wikipedia:

Thx.

I'm curious how many votes will be added to the election night figures. I guess there are some military and provisional ballots that will be added.

Also, polygraph tests are (mostly) inadmissible in court: https://www.justice.gov/usam/criminal-resource-manual-262-polygraphs-introduction-trial

One of Moore's claims in his lawsuit is that his vote total was "suspiciously low" in certain parts of Jefferson County

Idk Roy maybe people just really don't like you

(Also let's dispense the fiction that voter ID laws were ever about anything other than suppressing Democratic votes - because Alabama has incredibly strict ID laws and Moore is still crying fraud because he lost.)

I will see this man in hell, hang on while you can Moore, cuz u gonna be in fire and brimstone, the likes of which you have never seen before, whether it be 10 15 20 years, you aint got much left in you.

Maybe Satan is planning to retire and is grooming Moore as his successor?
Okay that is really disgusting.

Well, it's absurd, everybody knows it's Trump's job--gonna make hell great again.

Meanwhile, it also seems an AL judge has dismissed Moore's challenge.

Doug Jones' final margin of victory was 21,924 votes, the Secretary of State's office said before the certification began. Official vote tally: Jones, 673,896, or 50 percent. Moore, 651,972, 48.3 percent and write-ins, 22,852, or 1.7 percent.

So after all this Kabuki theater about military and provisional ballots being Pro-Moore, Jones's margin goes up, not down. LOL

Doesn't matter any longer. The mighty sword of justice has just come down on him.

A concession would only show that he's still *somewhat* human, but ...

On election night, Roy Moore claimed that Military absentees would help him to win... they actually expanded Jones' victory margin.

It probably had more to do with there being more provisional ballots (lean very Democratic) and a smaller number of military ballots (lean Republican).

Maybe, but Moore's supporters cheered at the thought their precious military members would help him bridge a 20,000-vote gap.

Moore and his supporters have no clue when it comes to elections ...

It is mathematically impossible for an off-year Senate election to have enough military ballots to make up a 20.000 vote margin.

I even doubt there are 20.000 people from Alabama in the military who are stationed abroad (and 100% of them would have to vote and 100% of them would also have to vote for Moore).

There were 18 write ins for Jones and 14 for Moore.  Not sure if they get added to the final totals or not.  I still think Roy should go to court and demand that write-ins for Bozo the clown be added to his total.

Roy should have bussed them all in.  Would have taught the Dems a thing or two.
