Were the polls taken before or after the release of the dossier?
The most recent round of polling was published before the dossier was leaked by Catalunya Lliure.
Ok, well this may be an interesting referendum, then.

Korea: PRK Launches Assault on Wanson
Supported from the air and sea by forces of the Republic of Korea, infantry and light artillery of the People's Republic of Korea (the exiled post-war government of North Korea backed by Japan and the ROK) have launched a furious assault on the port city of Wanson. The city and adjacent airfield are believed to be defended by a force of approximately 1,000 soldiers of the Korean People's Army loyal to the Nationalist Regime of Yun Jong Rin. They are outnumbered more than ten to one, and possess little to no air forces or heavy artillery, these having been destroyed by the occupying Allied armies during the Second Korean War. Given these odds, the PRK hope to take the city without a prolonged siege, before turning west as their forces converge on Pyongyang.

Korea: Wanson Falls to PRK as Allies Advance on Pyongyang

Nationalist garrison (NNK)

After twelve hours' heavy fighting, the shattered remains of the desperately outnumbered Nationalist garrison at Wanson surrendered to forces of the People's Republic of Korea earlier this afternoon, handing control of the port and nearby airfield to the legitimist government of Choe Ryong Hae. Reports are that the PRK suffered minimal losses during the assault, owing in part to the support of air and naval forces of the Republic of Korea.

Meanwhile, to the south, the ROK 'I Corps' is reported to have crossed the border into North Korea, joining some 40,000 soldiers of the PRK in their advance on Pyongyang.

Always remember to read the fine print...

Recent polls indicate that while a slight majority of Catalonians favor independence, the “Yes” vote is likely to come in well below the requisite two thirds necessary for independence.

I know, but still. It's a declaration of 59% with 97.8% turnout. Something is bound to happen in the future.

Spain: Protests Erupt in Barcelona as Separatists Allege Fraud
Hundreds upon thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in Barcelona in the aftermath of the expired referendum on Catalan independence today after leaders of the separatist movement alleged the Spanish government had engaged in wide-spread vote rigging to ensure the defeat of the independence movement. The separatists claim Spanish officials irregularly purged voter registration files to remove supporters of independence from the rolls, engineered long lines at polling stations, and ordered the destruction of thousands of ballots in the aftermath of the vote.

The allegations come little more than a week after the so-called "Rajoy Dossier," leaked to the public by the pro-independence journal Catalunya Lliure, described a conspiracy on the part of Spanish officials to rig the referendum, among other accusations leveled against the government of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. While supporters of independence delivered roughly 59% of the vote in the referendum, terms agreed to by the separatists and the government in Madrid required a two-thirds majority in favor to achieve independence.

Mr. Rajoy and his allies have dismissed the allegations as the "spitting of foreign subversives" and suggested the claims had originated online from Russian-aligned groups believed to have covertly supported the independence campaign, calling on the Catalan people to accept the results of the vote and move forward towards a "stronger and united Spain." The prime minister declined to comment on whether the large majority for independence would affect the government's policy toward Catalonia.

East Asia: PRK Lays Siege to Sariwon, Loyalists Announce Kim's Return
Forces of the People's Republic of Korea, joined by divisions of the Republic of Korea I Corps, have laid siege to the city of Sariwon, fewer than seventy miles due south from the capital city at Pyongyang. The besieged Nationalist garrison is believed to constitute a force of 100,000 infantry and artillery personnel, comprising one third of the total military force of the NNK.

Some hundred miles east of the city of Pyongyang, a detachment of Nationalist infantry and light artillery divisions met the allied army of PRK and ROK divisions advancing westward from Wanson, which fell to legitimist forces shortly before the first of the year. Thus far the fighting has resulted in stalemate, with the numerically superior Nationalists checked by the superior air power of the ROK.

Meanwhile, in the northern province of Chagang, an assembled force of infantry, artillery, and air divisions believed to number in excess of 60,000 in strength and styling itself the "Loyal Korean People's Army" released what it claimed was documentary evidence of a full dress review attended by Kim Jong Nam. Photographs show the man purported by the LKPA to be Mr. Kim, who disappeared shortly after the rise of Cho Pu Il as Supreme Leader of North Korea in the summer of last year and was presumed dead, reviewing the assembled forces of the LKPA in company of several attendants in military regalia, including one wearing the uniform of a junior office of the People's Liberation Army.

East Asia: Rebuffed by Beijing, Nationalists Lose North Pyongan
In a solemn address broadcast live on state television Wednesday evening, Chinese President Xi Jinping disavowed the Nationalist Korean regime of General Yun Jong Rin, calling Yun and his cohorts "usurpers" and vowing to restore the "legitimate government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea." Xi's address came little less than twenty-four hours after Atlasian President Fhtagn issued a call for stability in the region and declared her administration was prepared "take steps to work towards recognizing the PRK as North Korea's legitimate government."

It was not immediately clear from Xi's remarks that China would recognize the PRK as the legitimate successor to the post-war government established by the Allies after the Second Korean War. Further into his address, the Chinese head of state announced loyal divisions of the Korean People's Army have occupied North Pyongan, seizing a former Nationalist stronghold that borders China's Liaoning Province. In the hours following the assault, photographs showed what appeared to be the flag of the People's Liberation Army flying over the provincial capital at Sinuiju; Chinese officials have denied the PLA participated in the assault.

With the fall of North Pyongan, the NNK have lost the northernmost pole of their dominion and now face the prospect of a two-front war, besieged to the south by forces of the PRK and her South Korean allies, and to the north by a loyalist enemy of unknown strength.

Demonstrators Occupy Faneuil Hall With Cries of "Taxation by Representation is Tyranny"
Some 250 anarchists, pacifists, and affiliates of the anti-electoral movement swarmed up the steps of Boston's historic Faneuil Hall early this afternoon, draping the brick edifice in banners and loudly denouncing "representative dictatorship" in what is believed to have been the largest demonstration for anti-electoralism since the movement's inception in the autumn of 2017. Chanting "taxation by representation is tyranny," a subversive take on the Revolutionary-era motto coined by American Whigs under this very roof, the demonstrators seized control of the building and for a time prevented the normal flow of shoppers and tourists from making entrance, until officers of the Boston Police Department arrived to disperse the demonstrators, who were taken into custody for illegal occupation of public property. There were minimal reports of looting and vandalism by vendors resident within the Hall.

Though the ordeal lasted little under an hour before the demonstrators surrendered themselves to police, it stood as a sharp reminder of public dissatisfaction with the regional government. On Saturday, the Vermont and Massachusetts Revolutionary Workers parties released statements condemning passage of the Taxpayer Receipt Act by the regional Assembly as the "condescending paternalism of the governing elite... [a] bourgeoise dictatorship of the few so arrogant it presumes to speak for the people even as it grinds its boot against their throats." ARWP members who took part in the Faneuil Hall demonstration marched with banners showing the faces of Governor Lok and Lieutenant Governor Masta superimposed over portraits of Adolph Hitler, Francisco Franco, and other fascist leaders—symbolic, they said, of the ways in which elected politicians work to suppress the voice of the people by corrupting popular movements for their own ends.

East Asia: Loyalists Solidify Hold on Northern Frontier as PRK Struggles Toward Pyongyang and Japan Enters the War
Loyalist forces of the Korean People's Army have sought to expand their control across North Korea's northern frontier in the week since their dramatic seizure of North Pyongan, winning territory and gaining allies as armies of the PRK and Yun Jong Rin's nationalist regime remain locked in bitter combat south and east of the capital city of Pyongyang. While much of the LKPA's activity remains shrouded in mystery, not least because of conflicting rumors of Chinese involvement in the broadening civil war, it appears loyalist divisions now occupy Chagan, North Pyongan, and parts of Ryanggang and South Hamgyong, with loyalist control potentially extending as far east as Hyesan. South Korean intelligence estimate the loyalists to account for slightly more than 100,000 troops in the field, including infantry, artillery, and possibly some air forces.

From the east came news that the Japanese fleet has set out for the Korean Peninsula following that country's decision to intervene directly in the civil war. The fleet is believed to be headed for the port city of Sinpo, from where it might resist efforts by the KPLA to gain a foothold in the eastern reaches of South Hamgyong.

Paflagonia: Elections Produce Firm Majority for Ruling Junta
Some eighteen months after a military coup d'état removed the civilian government of this tiny landlocked country in the heart of central Europe, candidates friendly to the ruling National Council for Peace and Development and its chairman, Field Marshall Adolph Von Kummerspeck, won a majority of seats in parliament this weekend, confirming most expectations for the first national elections in Paflagonia in nearly two years. Ostensibly free and fair, the campaign played out under the watchful eye of the NCPD; preliminary results published Sunday night indicated that while the main left-wing party, the SPP (Sozialdemokratische Partei Paphlagonien) emerged as the largest party in parliament, the majority of seats will be held by independents allied with Mr. Von Kummerspeck. While candidates of the CPP–G, the leading party in government prior to the coup, were barred from participating in the election, two former members of the party were elected to parliament as independents.

East Asia: NNK Routed East of Pyongyang; Situation at Sariwon "Critical"
After weeks of heavy fighting, allied forces of the People's Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea, and Japan have routed Nationalist infantry and light artillery divisions sent to oppose their advance on Pyongyang, leaving the besieged Nationalist force at Sariwon vulnerable to an attack on their line of supply. As the besieging armies redoubled their efforts, ROK officials described the defenders' position as "critical" and indicated they expect the garrison to fall within the week. Even now, the ROK Second Fleet has left its moorings at Pyeongtaek and is sailing up the Korean Peninsula in anticipation of an assault on the city of Pyongyang itself.

Reform Program, Economic Growth Undercut Anti-Electoralists
Recent initiatives adopted by the Lincoln Assembly to reform the structure of regional government and address the rising tide of unemployment, coupled with brightening economic forecasts in the new year, appear to have soothed some of the discontent that has riled the region in recent months, of which the anti-electoral movement has been the greatest beneficiary. While dissatisfaction with the state of regional politics remains high among young people and the unemployed, the new measures seem to have abated some of the anger directed against the region's leaders which most recently led to the occupation of Faneuil Hall in Boston by demonstrators from various anarchist, Marxist, and anti-electoral groups. On Monday, a protest in New York City against regional authorities planned by the anti-electoral movement drew significantly less than the 16,000 marchers who planned to attend, though the march's organizers attributed this to poor weather rather than their movement's lessening influence.

East Asia: Sariwon Falls to PRK as Fleet Nears Pyongyang
Beaten down by a the near-constant barrage from the land and air, cut off from their base of supply, and with no hope of reinforcement, fewer that 5,000[1] half-starved soldiers of Nationalist North Korea's Sariwon garrison capitulated to forces of the People's Republic of Korea earlier this afternoon, bringing the nineteen-day siege to an end and clearing the way for an Allied advance on Pyongyang. Even as Allied commanders accepted the surrender of Sariwon, ships of the Republic of Korea's Second Fleet—accompanied by several Japanese aircraft careers—had sailed within range of the Nationalist-held capital in preparation for the expected assault.

While the majority of Nationalist forces at Sariwon surrendered to the Allied besiegers, as many as 3,000 are believed to have withdrawn north to join in the defense of Pyongyang.

[1] CORRECTION: The original article misstated the number of Nationalist soldiers who surrendered at Sariwon. The actual number was approximately 35,000.
