Summary:

The goal of this bill is to protect our sacred rights to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures.

Section 1 lists specific lawful items of property which may not be considered probable cause of a crime subject to seizure by police.

Sections 2-4 relate to police inventorying requirements when property is seized.

Sections 5-6 relate to police searches of cellphones and other data.

Section 7 tightens requirements for criminal property forfeiture.

Section 8 protects lawful firearm carry in private vehicles.

Section 9 limits the euthanasia of seized livestock or animals unless the seizure relates to an animal disease epidemic.

Section 10 sets the date the law begins.
