Alliance One: Russia, India, Israel, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Thailand, Syria
Alliance Two: China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Turkey, North Korea, Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia

I didn’t have any real ideas for the names of these alliances besides “the Moscow Alliance” and “the Beijing Coalition.”

I hate to be "that guy", but no way in hell would S.Arabia and Iran be on the same team.  And probably not Vietnam and the PRC.  Israel and Syria is problematic as well.

but to play the game, Alliance One wins.  The quality of Russian, Indian and Israeli gear wins the day.

Yeah, some of those need to be changed. However, the larger entities are OK. The USSR, India, and Bangladesh vs. China, Pakistan, and the US was an actual possibility circa 1972.

A BRIC (Brazil, Russia, Iran, China) vs Pax Americana (US, NATO, Australia, Israel, Gulf Arabs, Japan, South Korea) would be closer to a realistic war scenario.  India could go either way.

Alliance 1 because they have a more high quality military,  and China is surrounded on both sides by the two largest militaries in that group.
