Beat me to it. Anyway, this was Nelson +5 in March and Scott +2 in September. Scott favorability is 61/31 (+30).

Just wait til they start running those Trump-Scott clips and Scott will be lucky to lose by single digits

I think in the end, this race will mirror the national environment. If republicans keep this up, Scott might lose by close to 10 points.

1) Decimals.

2) Only deranged hacks like krazey can believe that Nelson, a rather likable and uncontroversial incumbent in a swing state, will get less than one third of the vote.

I wouldn't necessarily call Nelson "likeable" per say, I can see a lot of the Democratic base unenthusiastic about him as he's pretty old, dull, and a remnant of the "Old Establishment," although they will come home to him in the end. I can really see him ending up like Roy Blunt (but obviously with the parties reversed).

Maybe this poll is a birthday present for Scott. Tongue

Well if he's retarded enough to think he'll beat a popular Senator in an R+2 swing state in a wave year with the Republican President mired in the low 30's, I say go for it! Waste all your kids' inheritance on nothing! 😊
Well, it'll still force Democrats to really play defense here, plus, he's got a lot of money already, and I'm sure he'll get help from the likes of the NRSC, the Kochs, etc.

And, Happy Birthday Rick Scott!

He is no Elizabeth Warren but he has done nothing to antagonize the liberal base. Democrats will gladly vote for him.
And he is pretty well liked among the general electorate.

The same poll that said Hillary and Rubio would win Florida by like 20 points. Junk.

Nelson/this poll aside, we're way overdue for winning a non-US Senate statewide election due to pure, dumb luck any day now Tongue

If Scott wins this race and especially by a lot in the upcoming environment, maybe he will be the next President. Either that or I would just not run as a Democrat in Florida anytime soon. Not a Republican? Win the Florida primary and run as an Independent.

If The Criminal becomes president after Trump, I'm fleeing to Canada. And I'm not even being hyperbolic like everyone else who says that. I will literally become an illegal immigrant there.
