I think Kaine wins 58-38, with the regular non atlastian map colors of this:

Dems would be foolish to underestimate Corey Stewart. He has won county wide elections in Prince William County. He knows how win in Northern Virginia. And while he likely won't win he will over preform in Loudon and Prince William County. And will do well in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. He'll outperform Trump in Rural Virginia. But Fairfax County will likely overwhelming him and cost hi  the election.

Not sure, my guess would be 55% Kaine - 43% Stewart. Either way, the race is 100% Safe D and not Likely or Lean D like some "experts" think. Had Clinton won, the special election to replace Kaine would have been Safe D as well. VA is beyond gone for Republicans, the sonner they accept it, the better.

No it's not. Corey Stewart has won elections in Prince William County. That county voted for hillary by 20 points. I still don't think he'll win because I think Kaine will still win Fairfax Loudon and P4ince William County. I think he may outperform Trump in Loudon and Prince William County th but not enough to win. And he'll be beaten badly in Fairfax. He'll likely out perform Trump in Rural Virginia but I don't think he'll win.

Stewart won because it was a low turnout off year election. Not really a mandate and I doubt he will win his seat again come 2019.

Possibly but he won 57% of the vote his last election. And he could over perform in 2018. He still will probably lose though.

Please explain coherently why Stewart would perform better in Loudoun county than Trump or Gillespie.

Gillespie tried Corey Stewart's playbook in Prince William County and got walloped all over Northern Virginia last year, including in Prince William County. Boo is going to get slaughtered. Including in Prince William County. Write it down.

I rate this Likely Democratic, However the result may be closer then people think (Stewart could lose by a 5 point margin).

Yeah, Stewart running on Gillespie's racist neo-Confederate platform without Gillespie's moderate credentials is somehow going to put up a closer result than Gillespie in a state that surged Democratic in 2017. Uh-huh.
