I honestly feel like many of these internet "libertarians" saw Trump as a perfect opportunity to show their true colors as angry "alt right" fedora dudes.

Anybody else see it? lol

Those sound like real libertarians tho.

In this thread I mean those fedora virgin guys who constantly claim to be libertarian, but what they really mean is that "I'm entitled to success because I think I'm superior."

Good example:

Social Darwinistic values combined with resentment towards women for choosing not to have sex with them (sounds like you're the inferior being but ok) was bound to turn into fascism one way or another.

How am I an inferior being? I could get sex whenever I want unlike these losers

No it was created so I could mock fake libertarians who think they deserve sex.

With your absurdly bragadocious attitude, you come off as simply a luckier version of them. Is this the language you use when talking to your prey?

Also I noticed you said "prey" are you one of those people who think women only like douchebags? I'll tell you right now, that couldn't be further from the truth.

This thread is really more about how a large amount of "libertarians" switched to supporting Trump in 2016 because they were never really "libertarians"  in the first place, they just had a victim complex + superiority complex that made them think they were entitled to success. If they have that attitude they aren't conservative in any way, they'd be better off just being Marxist-Leninists.

A common justification I see for supporting Trump on libertarian websites is, "Trump will deport people who cost taxpayer dollars welfare money." I find that people often use "reducing the burden on welfare" to justify authoritarian beliefs.

The argument I heard more often, as someone who until recently spent a lot of time on libertarian websites, was that immigrants typically come from countries where socialism is popular.  The majority of Libertarians reject that line of thought though.

This, at least in part, is a very “old school”, and not particularly libertarian, fear. See: Sacco & Vanzetti, et al.

I was passionately for Ron Paul in 2012. I was passionate about Trump in 2016. We won. You lost. Who care.

It's our party now.

The older serious 'libertarians' like David Stockman (ex-Reagan adviser) and I believe Lew Rockwell (who was mercilessly mocked by others who saw through Trump's libertarian justifications) saw him as a disruptive figure who would deregulate and be good for the stock market. They bought his comments on the debt bubble and not doing nation building in a paleocon - Buchananite sort of way. He was also the only way to stop Hillary who would reportedly expand the welfare state system fostered under Dubya Bush "I am going against the free market to save the free market" and Obama.

Most of them have been chastened by what actually happened notably with Jeff Sessions but also with the kowtowing to Saudi just like BHO.

I suppose for them it was not about getting laid or not - since these are older guys who are married and not really about the whole Milo and Joe Rogan iconoclastic cultural libertarian thing.

Arming Ukraine, no-fly zone over Syria, liberation of nations living under governments that are state sponsors of terrorism, DJIA over 1,500,000 by 2100, end of social security, complete deregulation of investment banking, lower taxes on the 1% (aka job creators)

That's about it.
