I guess this is why more isn't made of state polls and why all we mostly see on news and such are national polls.

This seems silly, like the Arizona poll. Bush by a field goal, 41-38, for goodness sakes. I'm waiting for one that shows undecideds to be higher than Bush or Kerry (or both!).

I almost don't know how the break the news...

From now till September the polls, whice barely work now, actually get worse.  

Families go on vacation, people moving, kids coming and going from school campuses,  heading up to the cottage by the lake for the weekend, etc.....

Bush up 6 in the District of Columbia... and Nader even in Wyoming...

Shifters has got it right.. from now till September if a State Poll doesn't say "Mason-Dixon" you're likely best off burning before it hurts your brain....
