Murphy ran the better campaign (more preferable to my tastes anyway), but Northam's a bit more genuine.

...abstain until I see what they do as Governors to break the tie.

Murphy. Normally I'd be really skeptical of anyone from Goldman Sachs but knowing what I know about him, I have to go with him. He's been an owner of a women's professional soccer team in NJ for the past 8 years and has kept supporting the team despite losing over 5 million dollars. That suggests to me that he's being very genuine when he talks about supporting equality and social progress.
