Yes, he won the election. Who is going to let whiners steal the election?

Why would a President Pence, the Vice President chosen by over 300 Republican electors, be stealing the election?

There is no honor among thieves, and certainly none among attempted thieves of elections.

If the loser party of the 2014 and 2016 elections is permitted to steal an election, they are going to keep doing it again and again. So why would real America let them do it?

No, he would need to be removed from office and have life in prison as a traitor at best.

Will his sucessor be a Republican? That determines my position, and no I am not going to apologize for caring more about our social programs than about Russian Twitter bots or Facebook ads.

While it would indeed be ideal to have Trump punished for his transgressions, the exorcism the country will undergo as well as the scarlet T being branded upon his prominent supporters after 4 years of failure will more than make up for it.

But Atlas told me the "moderate republican contingent" would turn on Trump and support John Kasich or Jeff Flake in the primary against him!

Any successful impeachment would implode the Republican party.

I'll totally vote for John Kaisch or Jeff Flake in the primary. And when Trump wins it I'll vote for whoever the Dem is. Party needs major purge though before I'd truly support it again though.

He should be removed but I know he will not be. Vote in 2018 to get a Congress that will block him and vote in 2020 to throw his ass out of the White House.

Yeah, my point is that people like you are in a deep, deep minority and Atlas needs to stop pretending they're some major political force. Nearly every Republican who currently disapproves of Trump were already part of the 10% of Republicans that didn't support him in 2016.

If the Republicans are more loyal to Russia than their fellow Americans, they can't speak of nationalism, nor can they legitimately criticize football players for kneeling for the flag. Even if Colin Kaepernick were to burn the flag on his front yard every day, there would be no grounds for criticism from Trump supporters.

If the next one up after Trump says Russia is bad they'll believe him, they go with the strong man. Romney was always right in that Russia is our greatest enemy, and Republicans agreed with him then too.

So they're willing to sell out their country for partisanship, even when that selling out pertains to illegal behavior. How is that different than what Robert Hansen did, or a government agent who passes secrets to Russia for money?

Because they're "real Americans." True patriotism is defined as whatever they believe, support, or oppose.

This. Please stop looking for logic and consistency in Republicans, because you're not going to get it.

I mean, they will do what they want, but the Republicans are always the ones claiming to be nationalist and accusing Democrats of lack of patriotism, including certain posters here, who claim that Democratic patriotism is "conditional." So we're going to throw this in their faces every single time they start going down that route.

You're still assuming they use logic, have principles, and maintain consistency. Cut it out. Wink

That's like asking a Democrat if Obama should have run last year. If you commit treason, are convicted of treason, and impeached and removed you are no longer eligible to be President.

Why waste poll on something like this?

American politics is like sports. It's only pass interference when the other team does it.
