Maybe next time Dems shouldn't run a Late-Term abortion supporter. Congrats Sen. Moore.

Even if that's true, I still believe a blue dog could get 45%, 46% of the vote. At least make Moore sweat a bit, don't let him coast by nominating a solid liberal.

I know numerous people who verify what Wulfric said: They hate Moore, but they refuse to vote for a far left liberal and/or a prochoice candidate. Democrats have really failed at strategy the past few years; they used to be amazing at it.

Alabama would vote for the Devil (R) over Jesus (D)

So original. I’ve never heard that before!

It sounds like they want to vote for a sane Republican and are upset that isn't the choice the Dems are offering. I don't know that I'd blame the Democrats for than any more than I blame the Republicans for not running a down-the-line liberal in Serrano's district.

I could imitate the Republicans dismissing all polls showing Gillespie trailing, but I won't. It is McConnell's pollster, so it's probably a little bit wider of a lead for Moore than reality.

Blue Dogs are dead. Parker Griffith didn't even break 40% when he ran for Governor. Granted, that was against an incumbent, but it was still a fairly bad showing. It's not like a Democrat trying to imitate Moore would really be a good choice, because that would not really be a choice at all.

Parker Griffith was a sad candidate beyond his positions though.  Someone like Bobby Bright (or one of the Dems in the Gov race) would have been much better.

Moore is going to win, and Dems should prepare for the inevitable disappointment when Chris McDaniel wins Cochran's seat.

Another one: Alabamans would vote Republican over Jesus Christ (D) because they probably would think he's an illegal immigrant. Heard that one a few years back and thought it was hilarious yet sadly true.

Junk poll-McConnell tied! It's designed to suppress Democrat turnout! Coakley was up 17% in November 2009. It can still be close!

So Republicans can run right wing candidates in almost every state and win but Democrats have to move to the right in red states. Sounds like an even playing field to me.

lol of course not. More centrist-leaning politics is the way to go.

Moore above 50 means Jones winning would require on the fence Moore voters to go Jones - which, after the abortion debacle, seems unlikely
