They got the chance to see Supreme Court Justices appointed who very likely will overturn this decision, ... say, after R.B. Ginsburg leaves the bench, mortally or otherwise.

For that matter, we might not even have to wait until that vacancy, since we don't know right now whether Justice Kennedy is as much a supporter of the T in LGBT as he is a supporter of the LGB. It's becoming more and more obvious how weak Trump is as a President. I know he likes to envision himself as this towering and powerful individual but everywhere he walks he's squashed by somebody of either party. He's 10x weaker than Theresa May.

This is such a stupid topic.  If the Joint Chiefs see value in having tg folks in the service then by all means we should allow it.  All indications are that the Joint Chiefs do see value.  Trump needs to stop jerking around with national security in an attempt to score cheap political points.
