This is probably one of the things Dworkin was talking about, since it basically invalidates the argument that the investigation is based on a partisan dossier, which was what much of the Mueller criticism centered on.

As mentioned by many on twitter, this explains why Trump is so hostile towards Malcolm Turnbull.

Basically the issue is if the Trump campaign contracted out to the Russians to steal from and to spy on  the Democrats.  Wouldn't Wikileaks also need to be investigated? Could Mueller indict anyone from there with conspiring to commit cyber crime, espionage, and election fraud?

If Trump and his campaign knew that Russians hacked DNC and failed to report it at the Feds, can't they be indicted for aiding and abetting, or failure to report a federal crime?

You can tell he’s ex-Watergate era when he says “break into the DNC” that way

If so, the Trump campaign is at least guilty of that. And that is technically a felony.

Every rock mentioned should be turned over, including Trump's past financial connections to the Russian government.

Mueller needs to follow the money....

The Sydney Morning Herald has confirmed the NYT story about Papadopolous revealing the email hack to an Australian diplomat in London, sparking the FBI investigation into Trump/Russia.  A couple of new details:

The information was forwarded to the FBI by Joe Hockey, Australia's Ambassador to the U.S.

The Australian government is not happy that their role has become public.

My guess is that they are upset that they may be getting a phone call from some lawyers in D.C. soon.

This throws a bathtub full of cold water on anybody hoping for collusion evidence. http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/02/politics/house-russia-investigation-partisanship/index.html

No it just proves the house are partisan hacks. The senate and Mueller both have treated this investigation more seriously then the house and they are still ongoing

We are reaching a new low. RW websites are attacking the racial makeup of the grand juries https://pagesix.com/2018/01/02/russia-probe-grand-jury-looks-like-a-black-lives-matter-rally-says-witness/amp/

This is more than a random RW website, this is the New York Post.

That seems like a very low AA percentage for a DC jury pool.

The percentage used to be much larger, but now it's down to about half of the DC population.

Does it seem to anyone else as though Trump and his party have been getting frantic since Christmas?

Hillary! Iran! Comey! North Korea! Huma! Palestine! Deep State! Israel! Fake Fake Faketey Fake Media!

Maybe it's just because the Twit-in-Chief wasn't seeing enough of himself on TV over the holidays, but he seems exceptionally unhinged lately.

While I don't think anything exceptionally earth-shattering has hit the news in the last week, I find myself wondering if some recent story (or several) have touched on something where Trump and the GOP know they're guilty. Like a kid who hasn't been caught yet, but where the adults have just announced they're going to check something the juvenile delinquent hadn't even realized he needed to cover up, but now realizes is going to totally expose him beyond any possibility of denial.

Or maybe they're just desperate to distract attention from how bad their tax plan is, or have collectively realized Trump is really, truly insane.  (My money is still on a well-established history of illegal financial dealings with Russian.)
